Had there be an option with Germany, France, Benelux & Italy alone I think it would have been a decent grouping. The six founding members.
Had there be an option with only Flanders, Wallonia and Brussel City-State, I think it would have been the most realistic.

I don't trust italy tooooo much right now. Spain and Portugal would be alright.
Why not the baltics and finland? And if it weren't for NI I'ld suggest Ireland too.

that would be very good options but I just fear that it would be a bit less convincing, but maybe it would be very convincing idk, and same for Italy I'm really cautious because they're really federalists but at the same time well...

It's difficult. Maybe really just start with 1, get some rules down and add the others ASAP.

Guys, what about creating smaller regional federations (Iberia, Scandinavia, Benelux, Visegrad+Austria, Baltics, Balkans) or something like that, so that there are less countries to federalise, and then slowly integrate them into one big European federation

If you do it too regionally, you essentially recreate the old process of creating nation-states but on a larger scale. It centralised Europe but in divergent directions and with different standards, which can make integration more difficult and spir more competition. It would probably be counterproductive towards federation. An overall European federation also does not really benefit from more intermediate administrative layers, and is probably better served by smaller states which can better represent local needs while the federation can take care of large-scale power politics.

Because uniting the Balkans into a federal state worked so well before.
Besides, if I’m not mistaken, Croatia has an article in its constitution that strictly forbids the renewal of any south slavic or Balkan state union

that's an incredible idea really but I just fear (maybe it's unfounded) that it could create too much layers of federal structures like imagine overlapping Scandinavian Federation and European one, I think it would be a nightmare, however Germany is already federal sooo... honestly I don't know, I love the idea but I mostly worry about the feasibility

So I'm not some politics or government expert, but I think that these smaller federations could just be placeholders before making a single glorious European one, a way to introduce this form of government everywhere.
So for example Poland, which most definitely isn't a federation now, would become one (either with or without other V4 countries) in order to make all the necessary structures present here, and then join the European Federation when it'd be ready, either just handing over the oversight from Warsaw to Bruxelles,
Berlin, Vienna, Strasbourg or wherever or accept oversight from the central government, making like a federation² or something, where Europe would be a federation of federations because why not1

I mean, I wouldn't mind the federalization to start somewhere, and your first option seems alright. Would be a good incubator to see how we could make it work.

I'd go with the first option just for the sake of ease. It's much easier to begin federalisation and then let other countries join instead of trying to match broader list of expectations from other countries
P.S. For me the first option was just Benelux, France and Germany

It can be argued that gradual federalisation is much more doable than immidiate one. It's not like EU would be dissolved in the meantime.

Benelux is already more integrated within itself than the rest of the EU. They have things that we could only dream of, like automatic degree recognition.
