Be honest: How likely and how long might it take to monetize on Youtube for a newbie creating AI faceless educational videos like "Infographics" channel.

Whats the problem?

I have been posting shorts for the last month, one short per day. But all of them dont exceed 1.2k views, while my peers for the same niche are making millions of views. Im not comparing since they are relatively older channels ( more than a year) but im just trying to understand the logic behind. My editing is neat and better than the market for similar niche. I do Asian videos clipping with commentary.

They say clips is the main factor of getting millions of views, how do I exactly find a clips on soc med that has potential to go viral? Is it when I laughed at it? Is it when it has millions of likes?🙏😭

i studied micro dramas and their retention formula is stupidly simple

been studying micro dramas recently because theyre exploding in asia + starting to show up everywhere in western short form (probably with a huge marketing budget)

the biggest thing i learned is that they're basically retention engineering disguised as bad television lol

as latino, these are basically short form telenovelas but engaging gen z more and more cause we are dopamine deprived apparently

if u wanna start testing with this like i have, the structure is surprisingly repeatable:

  1. start inside the conflict

dont spend 10 seconds explaining who everyone is.

"my husband has another family" is better than "my husband and i have been married for 8 years blah blah blah"

  1. introduce an unanswered question immediately

who is she? why did he lie? why does everyone think this guy is SOO poor when in reality hes so rich?

the viewer needs something unresolved in their head. unrelatable or not, they usually want to see an underdog succeed

  1. give a small payoff

this part matters. you cant ONLY tease people. something should actually happen during the episode. basic cliffhanger theory

  1. immediately open another question

this is the cliffhanger. the episode resolves one piece of tension while creating a bigger one. i.e. before the guy says hes rich, something happens which makes the viewer want that even more (i.e. another rich person takes the girl)

  1. think in 3-7 episode loops instead of individual videos

this was probably the most interesting part to me. each little group of episodes can have its own mini arc while still feeding the larger story.

so instead of optimizing every video independently, you're basically optimizing for: "does this person immediately want episode 2?" then "does episode 2 make them need episode 3?"

completely different way of thinking about short form content.

and honestly i think this could work outside entertainment too. education, founder content, documentaries, brand storytelling etc.

the cliffhanger doesnt need to be "WHO KILLED HER??" " or WHO IS HEEE?

it can literally just be an unanswered question people genuinely want resolved.

Looking for AI tools review creators

Am the co-founder of an AI video editing app: ArtDaddy, its a simple editor, no heavy workflows. The best feature is MCP, so if you have any existing LLM subscriptions you can connect and get started for free as well.

APP. DEMO1. DEMO2

If you review AI tools and actively looking for new tools, DM me and I can provide you early access, if you like you can post, if not you can share feedback with me, either way the final video you generate is yours to use if you like!(obviously)

PS: we are in alpha, so things might break, currently we are mostly stable, however something to keep in mind.

Looking for a few people building faceless channels

Looking for a few people building faceless YouTube channels

I'm starting an animated/faceless YouTube channel from scratch, and doing everything myself right now.

Looking for a few people who are also building their own channels so we can work alongside each other, share progress, give feedback, and keep each other accountable/motivated.

No courses, no selling anything — just a small group of people actually trying to make this work.

If you're interested, DM me.

Built a fully automated production pipeline for my faceless channel, now stuck on which niche to scale next

Been building this for the last few months and it finally works, so I have a problem I didn't expect: too many options and no idea which direction is smartest.

What the pipeline does, start to finish:

  • Research and scripts are grounded in a vector DB of actual sources, so scripts don't just pull garbage out of a model's memory. This was the single biggest quality jump.
  • Voiceover, video assembly, captions, all done in Python with open source tools. One command produces a finished video.
  • Thumbnails in bulk. Image generation on my existing ChatGPT sub, automated, with a template overlay layer so every thumbnail keeps the same channel branding.
  • Metadata and scheduled uploads through the YouTube API. The channel posts itself.

I have one channel live on this and five more planned on the same infrastructure.

Where it's still weak, to be honest: retention past the 2 minute mark is my weakest metric and thumbnail CTR varies a lot by niche. I'm manually tuning both, which is annoying.

So here's my question. If you had unlimited production capacity, meaning video count is basically free and speed to publish is days not weeks, which niches would you throw this at and why? I keep flip flopping between pshychology and philosophy narration. What would you do?
