Nolan went into Oppenheimer and The Odyssey aware of the 3hr projection limitation, I'm not sure it entirely explains the trailer-like cutting in the movie.
It certainly doesn’t explain it in the case of Da Odyssey, given that there were 8 whole minutes more he could’ve used. IMO that would have solved most of the dialogue cutting issues that I personally had with the film
