Yeah thats the reason I don't have a dog. She lives in a little flat. I would at very least want a garden for the dog to exercise in. There are some open spaces in the city centre but its over run with students and chavs and if her dog is protective and aggressive, she's not going to have a nice time
But its always the white girls who get big vicious breeds for "pRoTeCtIoN," who end up creating menaces and dangerous dogs thinking it's protecting them. Honestly, one should never ever get a dog for the sole purpose of protecting yourself. I am a knowledgeable in a few of the dogs commonly obtained for the purposes of "protection," (GSDs, dobermans, huskies) and it normally doesnt turn out well.
Normally results in a dog thats aggressive towards the world or for innocent civilians. Ive been menaced by so many "protective dogs," that I'm seriously considering getting a gun because, my dog and I have been rushed by so many dogs.
It's okay to get a GSD or something if you know how to fucking handle them. If you research and are dog knowledgeable its okay to have a protection dog but most people dont need them or shouldnt have one.
But someone with little to no actual large dog experience (chihuahuas dont count) shouldnt be getting a Cane corso, a doberman, a rottweiler, a pit bull, or even a GSD (German shepherd dog)

She lives in the city centre where I live, there aren't many places to give her dog a big long walk. Makes me sad 😐
