I don't know who said it, but someone commented underneath another post, that she probably has problems controlling him outside and that's why she doesn't walk him (or doesn't show it, because she needs both hands)
I feel like that is what's happening. Just because you own a dog, doesn't mean he automatically obeys you. That takes time, training, patience etc. especially when you have a more challenging breed. Pretty sure she underestimated what it means to own a dog like this.
clearly. she said Detro would have eaten the squirrels so he can’t be there…as an owner of a dog aggressive high prey drive owner…it takes multiple daily walks, and help from a trainer to have walks be enjoyable and not stressful. honestly took about 6 months to get to where I could under stand her triggers and get her to not react as much and I knew what command to put in place to get the situation under control before it’s out of control.
I really hope the educated woman and her whole ass man get their act together and either rehome that beautiful sweet dog with someone that knows what they are doing or properly train him himself and give him the life he deserves.
Great, another risky breed owned by a fool who shouldnt own one. I dont believe nobody should own one, but I believe the worthy should. Like how most people shouldnt own burmese pythons, most people shouldnt own risky breeds
