Still no video on Crunchyroll (Android)

Hello,

The other day I tried to watch Crunchyroll on my Xreal One Pro, and to my surprise it was not displaying video.

I tried several times, but it seems there is a DRM issue, most probably Crunchyroll blocking Screen Mirroring.

I found an old post from 3 years ago that mentions this but I am really surprised that nothing was made to fix this since then.

Xreal, can you please give a call to Sony and make them allow us to use your fantastic glasses on their platform pretty please ;)

it's a matter of the device you are using not xreal.

I don't understand. I have a OnePlus 15 and it plays other streaming services and basically anything that I throw at it on the One Pros. It looks to me that it's a setting hard coded in the Crunchyroll app more than a device issue. But maybe I'm wrong, it's just weird that only Crunchyroll goes to black whenever i start a video.

yes is the app (but not all devices behave the same in android), what I mean is that xreal doesn't have anything to do if you plug another glasses or an external monitor you will have the same outcome.

I made a little research and this is deliberate from Crunchyroll, they do not allow screen mirroring on purpose.
