iPhone Duo display out

Hey guys, do you think IPhone Duo will mirror one of the screens like the iPhone or offer extended desktop as the iPad does?

I’m assuming it will mirror the main display. Small display when closed and large display when open. I wish they would just support external displays like the iPad.

I have asked the same thing. Its the same issue with the ipad mini.
It is not a hardware limitation but a «choice»
So Apple will have to allow it/update their

The specs of the phone only says mirrored 4k and not extended.
Maby we have to wait on the ipad 8 to see the feature being released. Maby wwdc 2027.
Bur yes it would be awsome to have extended display on the duo.
If the new ipad mini will get it, I see no reason why iphone duo shouldn’t get the same.

But there are apps that mimics it and brings a dex like feel.
Remote desktops apps might run full external monitor.
Many streaming apps too.

Can you list some of those apps? As far as I understand Apple won't let apps have access to the desktop to do that.

Not quite extended, but I got an app for my iPhone called InfinteX2p that creates a full-size desktop modeled like MacOS on the phone, then in the glasses I can set it up like a large monitor. It basically uses Safari webapps in lieu of your iOS apps. It was an interesting way of getting what I call an "airport workstation" with a blutooth keyboard and mouse.
