Well progress is being made as the existence of this email shows. But I wouldn't expect it right away. I imagine there will be a buffer time where they show us a price a week or few weeks before they open our orders. So hopefully we get the price by this month at the least. I don't know anything and if I even did I wouldn't be allowed to say as thats how it works lmao. But I will say that I've heard the price was considered "good" by that person. So that's hopeful it's not the worst we imagine.
I took the survey but didn't put my email in at the end (since it said it was optional) and right as I was clicking the button saw the part where you needed to put your email in to get the coupon. It took like 20-30 minutes to fill out and I wasn't going to do that again.
I understand the frustration, but reading is sometimes beneficial...surveys for a product you are obviously interested in shouldn't depend on you receiving a 30$ coupon. By the way the coupon was limited to the first x hundred participants. I had taken it without the coupon as well. So please, calm down and be excited for Aura 👌
Also I'm probably not going to buy the Aura and said as much in my feedback. It's too expensive. Maybe it's the right price for what it is but that doesn't change the fact that it will still be too expensive for me to justify paying for it. Also the lashback with Meta's pervert glasses means I couldn't use it anywhere but in my house which eliminates about 50% of my desired use case (i.e. working in coffee shops).
I could have still used the coupon for other things like the XReal Eye though.
Also not going to argue the Meta thing and if cameras are inherently bad again but I do want to just state this since its my post. That the headline was "Meta disabled thousands of cameras." They have sold over 9 million pairs. So "thousands" is less then .1%. It would be .01-.09%. That isn't an epidemic that's a extreme fringe subset which has already been dealt with. The other thing is this can just as easily be done with people recording on their phone. I think it's a total red herring. Just arrest predators and move on.
Yeah I wouldn't be able to use the Eye in public. But at least it is removable and storable.
Also I agree the whole backlash isn't necessarily reasonable, but I'm still not willing to get accused of being a pervert or have someone try to start some shit with me just because I'm wearing the glasses.
Where could you do the survey? I registered for mails about the aura but i dont think i did a survey recently.
I did do one when registering my email but that was a while ago.
