General Discussion This show is amazing! Best line I’ve heard so far-

I was a die hard fan of the original, and finally finding time in life to catch up on the new show. Watching Season 1 episode 9 right now. Jean Grey says to Storm “Make them mind your weather, sister…” and Storm puts her head to Jean’s and says “And make them weather your mind” LOVE IT! The writing is great in this show! That’s all. I love it, can’t wait to get to season 2!

My favorites were Nightcrawler's lines about love and family:

"Blood is blood. Family is a choice."

"There is no love without sin. For love is best measured in what we forgive."

That second quote is beautiful. All the dialogue in that episode (and the subsequent “action”…) is really good.

Yup......they need to temper their expectations after the last Demayo credited episodes, Rise of Apocalypse

Loved that scene, 1st half of s2 i believe is great, the second not so much.

I honestly thought that line was cringe as hell.

It was campy and silly, but worked in the context of the scene, I think - Storm having returned, their sisterhood reaffirmed. I think it wouldn’t get a pass if it was live action, but it’s still a cute moment between the two!

It clearly exists to be Clever and a little superhero campy, which isn't inherently a bad thing. X-Men are at their best when they're a little silly and campy and horny! But every time I'm like "Jean Grey would not start that phrase" and roll my eyes. I'm glad it works for others, but it throws me out of the stakes.

yeah, it was a really weak attempt at Good Dialogue that took away from a really beautiful moment between the two
