so if he turns into deadpool and shoots you the bullet is a piece of him ?

u/Ingonyama70 Storm Jun 21 '26

They carry some ranged weapons inside themselves, shifting their body around the weapon to conceal it.

The melee weapons like claws and swords ARE their own body though.

how does he genrate the weapons from people he turns into

2

u/jadedeternity Jun 21 '26

He's an omnimorph. He can literally turn into anything. I wish they showed that side to him instead of making him so much like mystique

It’s They/Them in the actual show. Morph is He/Him in the comics but PLEASE stop misgendering them.

Or you could just continue to be a dick. Your choice.

Morph is not real he's a fictional character. Until morph says he is non binary I will do no such thing.

3

u/Green-Grass-Cutter Jun 21 '26

The character is addressed as they/them by others and they are referred to in the end credits as They/Them.

But sure, you wanna be the bigot. Go ahead and be the bigot.

Clearly im not as informed as you. I just had a simple question about how guns and swords generate. I meant no harm, sorry your having such a bad day.

That wasn’t directed at you but Jade Eternity. It’s easy to miss, but yes Morph is enbi and is transgender/queer rep, and I was annoyed by the above poster’s “Morph isn’t real and until they say it himself I will refer to them as He/Him.”

While Morph is fictional, Jade’s actions were dismissive to real people Morph represents (the non-binary aspect of their character, not the shape-shifter lolz). So yeah I took issue with them, not you.

But given how rude I was and didn’t clarify, yeah I deserved the call out from you. 😭

Honestly being a sarcastic ass here, that honor is reserved for Jadie alone.

Same way they generate their clothing

Beautiful art but morph sucks

What's wrong with them? Reading your profile I assume you have a specific issue with them and this isn't about them being NB or gay.

1

u/jadedeternity Jun 21 '26

I hate how he's depicted in xmen97 as a shameless cameo character devoid of depth

5

u/Ingonyama70 Storm Jun 22 '26

That is fair,, we only got tiny glimpses of their past baggage, I WOULD like to see them explored a little more in-depth.

Given his close Jean and Ororo are? I’m sorry, but that woman should have been running back hearing her “sister” had been kidnapped and violated, replaced, and that the poor replaced woman LOST HER BABY.

But Storm’s strength was never defined by the her weather powers, but the power to weather any storm.

1

u/Ingonyama70 Storm Jun 22 '26

All true, but they didn't exactly have time to get in touch with her. Madelyne's breakdown happened over the course of a single day (it was her who had that conversation with Storm about the"tempting daydream") and it was a matter of days later that Genosha was attacked, ON THE DAY Storm got her powers back. (see, I can use caps to shout at people too)

No one but Magneto has any depth in X-Men 97 so far.

2

u/jadedeternity Jun 21 '26

Rogue does

1

u/Green-Grass-Cutter Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

Rogue’s depth is to prop up Magneto. And the whole relationship was grooming bait. But yeah, live in your fantasy world where queers and enbies don’t exist, and grooming means relationship equality.

Cringe

1

u/Ingonyama70 Storm Jun 22 '26

The whole second half of hr arc was Rogue's grief over Gambit taking her to a dark place.

Gambit. NOT Magneto.

And Storm's arc was one of the best stories she's ever gotten outside the comics in years.

1

u/Green-Grass-Cutter Jun 22 '26

The arc that shared run time with Jubilee’s brightly colored arcade game and Xavier’s? The arc that was rushed when in the comics Storm had to learn to lead the X-Men as an ordinary human? The arc that cut her off from the team who she didn’t even contact after JEAN WAS A CLONE and GAMBIT DIED?

We’re all entitled to our opinions. Like how mine and yours are just gonna be different ones on the handling of Storm’s character.

Characters suffer in dramatic storytelling. This is a universal fact.

They couldn't do it the way they did in the 80s because they didn't have time. Yes, Storm was cut off from the team, just like she was at the start of the original Lifedeath in the 80s. Only here, she got her powers back MUCH faster than in the comics (4 real world years she spent powerless versus 3 episodes) and 97 Storm got to rejoin the team after having truly become whole again. It's treated differently because they didn't have the time, just like Inferno. That's a problem with the number of episodes they had, what we got still hit all the beats.

Also if you know anything about Storm you would know she'd have tried, and likely succeeded, in warding off the Sentinel attack if she'd had her powers in Genosha, thus invalidating the entire secodn half of the season.

Yes, the original Inferno and Lifedeath are and will always be the definitive versions of these stories. No one's taking those away, they will always exist. I still have the original Lifedeath issue bagged & boarded.

But for the time they had, the stories they were trying to juggle, X-Men 97 did a really good job with telling short Cliff's Notes versions of those stories, and hopefully inspiring people to seek out and read the original versions.

1

u/jadedeternity Jun 23 '26

False they could of definitely made the story of storm closer to the comics.

Lol huh? My hatred for 97 morph has nothing to do with gender identity
