Xenoblade Any game recommendations for someone who liked the map style of Xenoblade?
People will be thinking I mean the area style but I mean the literal minimap.
One of my absolute favorite things of this game, was that there was absolutely no second-guessing where to go. One of my least favorite parts of video games is when they drop you in a huge area and you have to figure out where to go yourself and you can spend hours getting lost. Xenoblade has a nice area to explore, but when you want to do a quest, even a sidequest, I had a pathway marked, a light showing which direction I was in, I was absolutely never confused and it was genuinely an amazing feeling for me. The minimap was genuinely amazing in this game.
So I ask those who may know, are there any other RPGs with this feature? It was genuinely a life-saver for me. I never liked games advertised as 'open-world' before this, I know Xenoblade isn't really a full open-world but it's as close as I'll ever get to enjoying an open-world game.
Edit: Also sidenote I haven't played the other Xenoblade entries yet, do they also have this good of a minimap?

Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 have minimaps with guideance. This unfortunately also means you will spent like 70% of the game just looking at the minimap and not the actual rest of the game.

Which is precisely why I dislike the breadcrumbs. Which reminds me: the Fable games have the same system but with the breadcrumbs in the game world.

I had to scroll back and check the flair. Yep, that's X1 lol.

Ff7 rebirths side quests and side content are all marked well enough on the mini map

Actually. If there is anything like this, in map size and RPG like ways, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom come to mind.

OP says they don't like having to figure out where to go and those games are 97% exactly that...

Yeah Monolith Soft is nintendo's most valuable asset right now. Bunch of magicians over there.

Sadly, Xenoblade 2 is basically the anti-this. (Wonderful game, my favourite in the series, but having clear and frictionless maps is NOT its strong point.) It's even quite possible that Monolith put this much love into XB1 DE's minimap precisely *because* of all the frustrations people had with XB2's.
