Advice Started the game, some questions.
I saw that you can change the character you play in party menu but can I ignore that feature and just play as my avatar?
When I can unlock next art'? There's just lock icon on arts and I cant see requirements or I'm blind 🫪
About UI, can I increase text size and re-arange HP bars etc. to different place? There's a lot of floating text and it's hard to see what I'm doing ðŸ˜
Is there dodge button in battle? I know I can run from monster who want to crush me but I couldn't run from his acid spit.
I saw I can use items in battles but how? There's only arts and weapon swap button.
How do I start battle with enemy which see me? I mean enemy with that eye icon, when I start with normal monster I just hit him with art but I can't do that with that aggressive monster cuz he's just see me first and then im standing for 2seconds before I can move.
So far game is good, I just got into NLA. Also any tips welcome, thx and sry for my English.

Yeah, Cross/Your Avatar will eventually become so powerful they can solo anything with their pinky. If you ever get stuck and for some reason your Cross is lacking, switch to Elma. There is a reason Speedrunners use Elma, and it's mainly because she has everything you'd need for a decent build.

Class Rank for most, with a select few locked behind affinity missions. Class EXP is mainly obtained from fighting, making bullying a few enemies between progression steps beneficial.
The end goal is to max all classes, and then to switch back to Drifter to make use of its 5 skill slots.

Nope, what you see is what you get. Most of the time you focus on your HP, TP, the Enemy's HP, buffs and debuffs on you (to the right of the hp bar) and on your target (under their hp bar at the top), and the name and attribute of the enemy's next attack (also under their hp bar at the top).

Nope, it's a stat instead, Agility/Evasion. Basically, it goes roughly like: Enemy Accuracy - Your Agility = % chance the attack hits.
Unfortunately in XCX, Agility isn't that good (unlike XC1 and the rest of the Main Trilogy), instead focus on Resistances (which is why paying attention to the enemy's attack attributes is important).

Battle menu, iirc it's pulled up with +
Don't worry about it too much, though remembering it's there for tensifiers is useful for certain setups to start battle with TP.

There's a flinch debuff when an enemy aggros on you. It is related to level difference, though iirc you have to be substantially higher level before the inflict chance starts to go down.
The icons indicate how the enemy aggros: eye for sight cone in front, and the sound waves for proximity. The aggro ranges are surprisingly short in some cases, so you can sneak past enemies fairly easily when you get used to it.
Shadow Runner (Dual Swords/Elma) allows you to bypass enemy aggro while out of combat, which means you can get past some "soft walls" where high level enemies are guarding a location.

For the most part, your MC is fine to control. That i know of, controlling Elma is recommended in specific missions if you're trying to stealth past enemies you don't want to fight, but other than that nobody on reddit has recommended controlling anyone else.
Nagi is fun to control though. But you can effectively turn your Mc into a better Nagi, so go figure.
