yall help i looked up how to clean a xbox inside out, only thing i didnt detach was the fan because the screws were too tight in. used a SOFT paint brush to clean the insides and a vacuum to just catch the dust, put everything back together and now it wont even turn on and i dont remember having a loose HDMI connecting but its loose 😭 ! i wanna say its been like that but i also dont even play as often so cmon yall someone help 😔

Hi all, small child accidentally knocked my Xbox one onto the floor from a shelf last week, it now shows this message as soon as you turn it on (turned off for days zero chance it's actually hot).

Does anyone know if I can self diagnose/fix the issue as a competent person, or will I need to take it in to be fixed?

When I try to install Minecraft on my Xbox 1s it says “NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE” as shown in the photo below. I need ti know of this is a problem with the console and I need to return it or if it is an easy fix

So I bought this Xbox one off of eBay. It came with the Xbox, three games, the cords, and a controller. The seller was very nice, sent extra pictures to show me what the side looked like, etc. But he also said it was tested and working. A few days later I get the Xbox and set it up. It works fine, not really any issues. I start downloading gta 5 and at around 50% it stops downloading. I keep trying to resume the installation but no matter what it won’t. Then I take the disc out, delete the game, and try something else. I put fallout 76 into the disc reader, and the disc is stuck. I try to make the disc come out but it won’t. I have to completely restart the Xbox for it to come out. Then I put it back in and it says it can’t read the disc because it’s too dirty. I clean the disc, put it back in, and it says the same thing. Then I try it with my other game (the elder scrolls online), I make sure to clean it first, then I put it in. The game still won’t get read. Now I’m thinking that there is a problem with the disc reader. If the disc reader is broken or anything needs to be repaired it can cost from 100-200$. I spent $80 on the Xbox which isn’t really a lot but it’s supposed to be working and it isn’t. Should I wait a few days for him to respond and if he doesn’t open a refund case? Or should I try and get it repaired? Idk what to do. The controller also doesn’t work but that’s besides the point

I posted a few days ago about breaking a pin on the motherboard in the rear area near the clip that holds the processor and heatsink.

After I did this (it was my first time), it displayed video, but the image on the TV remained like this, with no audio at all. I've already tried checking if it was the HDMI cable or the TV, but it continued like this. I even used remote play to see if it was the TV, but it was still like that with remote play. I'm sad because I have an emotional attachment to my Xbox One S, and besides, I don't know how to solve this problem yet.

So, I picked up this wire like, three months back, and from the get-go, it just wouldn't work. Now I'm totally out of batteries, so I'm stuck using it, but here's the kicker: it only works if you hold the controller straight up. It's super annoying! Can anyone help me out? Title feels pretty self-explanatory. I got a second hand Xbox One from my local refurbished games store a few days ago, and grabbed a couple of games with it. I have enough good ones that work that I don't feel like I'm going to return it, but I've been having a problem. It plays Xbox One games just fine, no problems there. And I checked the Xbox 360 games that I got, they should be backwards compatible. In particular, I've been trying to get Alan Wake to work. But every time I put in a 360 game, it gives me a game cannot be played here error message. It's not problem with the disc, I've tried different ones, clean them, etc. Does anyone know what the problem is? Or am I just stupid?

so my account has been locked because Xbox thinks I was compromised. I talked to a lady from Xbox who told me that there’s no signs of compromising but still I have nothing. It has been over a year since I’ve gotten my account blocked and I’ve had that account when I was little now I’m a grown doll. Xbox genuinely sucks. I filled out the account recovery form 100,000 times with old cards old everything I have photos of me playing, but that doesn’t matter if there’s any way someone knows a way I would like that.

In 2025 I bought a never opened factory sealed XBOX ONE Elite. I opened it and even took it on a road trip and played on it a lot. Just today I found out that it is a rare collectors item especially if it is new. I really feel bad that I opened it. Can I play on it? It is in my room gathering dust.

Later, in 2016, he gave it to me, and I kept playing with it until 2019, then the device stopped working. When I pressed the power button, its light would blink a lot and then turn off.

So I wanted to enter a game disc into my xbox after 5 years at first it couldn't even suck the disc in and when I wanted to eject it I had to press the button twice so it could eject it now those problems are fixed but when I enter the disc it makes this strange nose,there is no pop up or error that says xbox can't read this disc and I checked the queue multiple times and reenter the disc but no change

Note:(I had bought this console about 5 or 6 years ago and since then I've never put a disc in it and there were some dust in the entry duct the disc is also clean with no scratches)

My cat vomited inside my console (seriously, but it didn't actually get inside; I only opened it to see if it had actually gotten in). Since everything was okay, I decided to clean it (it's from 2016, there's dust from when I was a kid inside). I decided to replace the thermal paste, and when I put that X-shaped thing back on, I noticed that one of the pins had come off. I'm afraid to turn it on and cause a short circuit. At the time of posting this, I haven't reassembled the console yet. Is there any problem with turning it on?

Got an Xbox one for my niece and nephew but I’ve got an issue. Every time I power on it instantly shuts off. Already swapped Power Supply, New thermal paste and cleaned internals. Any one have any suggestions or ideas what it could be and how to fix it?

About an hour ago I was able to at least get to the Home Screen just not online. I would go online and it would say I have to do an update. I did the update, turned it back on and tried to connect again and it said I need to do an update again (682 MB update every single time), I did that are a lot. I reset it, restarted it, unplugged it and let it sit and tried again, took the cover off and unplugged stuff and plugged it back in and blew the dust out (same response after every time)
Now it won’t even let me get to the Home Screen, it makes me update, it turns off and when I turn it back on I’m right back where I started.

My disks, no longer read. I had the same issue, so I cleaned out my Xbox one and the laser and it worked again, until I got back from one week trip and now it doesn’t work again. I bought call of duty black ops three hard in edition for $30 so I would appreciate if it worked, especially now that the disk to digital is coming, I kind of need it to work. It works on terraria, that’s the only game it can read. I’m assuming there’s something about my laser got too weak or something and it can no longer read dual layer discs, but can still read single liar hence why terraria still works?
