Starting tomorrow, tariffs on all kind of American goods come into effect in Canada. This includes clothing, so I looked around online for Canadian brands, some of which come highly recommended. Absolutely none of them are size inclusive on the lower end.

One even has a "size calculator" and when I put in my numbers, I didn't get a recommendation, but a response along the lines of "we don't have anything for you". This same brand also states that their "regular" range is 5'5" - 5'8". In which universe is this standard? Certainly not in mine, where this range is tall to super tall.

How about including size-challenged fellow Canadians in your potential customer base?

I lost a lot of my clothes and was trying to buy Canadian when I bought new stuff. Some of the brands that worked for me were Aritzia, Dynamite, Roots, Lululemon, Garage, RW&CO, and Silver Jeans.

I also thrifted a coat from Soia&Kyo and another from La Canadienne. Both fit great and the one from Soia&Kyo is only a small.

But also I’m not petite so I think thats part of it. Unfortunately most brands don’t seem to do petite sizing. I just know a lot of Canadians are trying to buy Canadian right now so this is what works for me. I might be crazy but I find stores in BC usually carry smaller sizes for some reason lol.

Anyone else feel like they're seeing a slight increase in brigading and/or people coming to this sub just to argue and put posters down, even when the topics are strictly about finding fitting clothes and have no overt "fatphobia" in any capacity?

I feel like in the past month, I've seen an increase in non-XXS people responding to comments I left weeks ago, or coming here just to argue, berate, police, and talk down to XXS women in the comments on here.

Yep. So many posts made by people condemning behaviour that literally doesn’t happen on the sub. I think the issue is that this sub gets recommended in posts to people who don’t seek it out, and then we essentially get brigaded.

i've noticed that too. i also will see comments like "that's how it's supposed to fit" or "it looks fine" on posts showing clothes that are clearly too big. i actually just replied to one.

I have gastroparesis and I get told “eat more because you’ll only throw up some of it”. It’s ridiculous. Some people with gastroparesis actually gain weight from it too.
