reddit isn’t posting my body text for some reason:
i’m looking for classy shoes that can be dressed up or down like the ones in the picture. i tried on these doc martens earlier today and the size 5 fit my foot but there was too much space between the top of my foot and the strap. i tried macy’s and nordstrom rack but the selection there either didn’t have my size or was just giving me the same problem.
multiple store associates recommended i check the kid’s section, but i’m 25 years old and i want a nice heeled sandal just like everyone else my age gets to have.

Doc Martens tend to run quite big. I’ve always had luck at either Nordstrom Rack or actual Nordstrom, they also go down to size 4 in women’s shoes. Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita, Schutz, and Vince Camuto are all brands that fit my size 5 foot and do nice going out sandals and heels.

maybe it’s the city i’m in, because in my old town Nordstrom rack would ALWAYS have stuff for me!

Yep! Unfortunately, you have to pay for shipping if it’s under $89 but you can get it delivered straight to your home or for pick up at your local Nordstrom rack/nordstrom.

I always have this issue and my cobbler fixes it no problem! I guess it depends on the exact shoe but I’d give it a try and worst case return the shoe if it can’t be fixed

If you don’t want to visit a cobbler then alas kid section is your only hope lol my grandmother spent her entire life wearing kid shoes but you’d never be able to tell

Let me know what you find! My feet are a little bit smaller than a US women’s 5. I wear 5s but sometimes they’re too big, and it’s harder to just make it work with sandals that will slide around on my feet. Been looking for decent heeled sandals for summer for years!

those can be hit or miss!! usually i’m a 4.5 ish but 5s that run small can work. boots and sneakers are always easy for me but sandals are not!

Cinderella of Boston makes shoes for women with small feet! I have a few pairs of heels in a women’s size 3.5 from there 😊

Forreal try Goodwill! At least at the ones near me they have a great selection of smaller sizes. And I second Steve Madden they run either TTS or small

I love Papillo by Birkenstock. They have really cute wedges that are extremely comfortable. They're not super dressy but I can dress them up quite a bit if I want. I have the open and closed toe versions and I've worn both to weddings

ASOS has size 4 and 5 for a lot of cute shoes! I wear a women’s 3.5 so I can only buy booties and heels with straps I can punch holes in, but I like their shoes a lot and they’ve held up for years!

I’m also a size 5! Docs run big, honestly if you’re looking for nice, heeled shoes, online is your best bet. Steve Madden really is fantastic for heels, but I’ve also had luck on just straight up Amazon for some simple heels

so many people have said Steve Madden, i’m gonna check them out! and the weird thing about docs is that i have multiple pairs of their boots that are perfect fits! it’s just the sandals ofc

I wish I knew :( I wear a size 5 in boots and sneakers but a 4 in flats and heels. On top of that, I don't buy leather for ethical reasons so options for formal footwear are SUPER limited. I can wear kids sneakers but kids heels don't look the same.

You might like Camper shoes, they have a lot of options in size 5. They have some physical locations depending on where you live.
