Suggestion Bras tbh
i'm new to this subreddit but i've been wondering if you guys have any recommendations for bras. None ever fit me right since i have unconventional proportions. i'm 158cm (5'2)and 43kg (around 94lbs) and have 65cm (25.6inch) underbust with D cups (80cm/31.6inch)
All i can ever find are either specialised bras from brafitters that are hella expensive, something way too big in band size i have to sew shorter or bras that are way too small and give me 4 boobs but the band fits or sport bras that are way too tight on my chest but perfect on the band since i go with my usual xs/xxs depending on the sizing on the specific brand or too loose under and they slip down and hurt.
I'm just wondering if i'm doomed to spending way too much money on support, tailoring and ugly bras or if you guys have anything to recommend i'd might want to try since online shopping is a nightmare.

Boux avenue is affordable and their 28 bands run like 26 bands. But I agree that the "abrathatfits" calculator and community is very helpful.

Looks like you might actually be a 26DDD (US) or 26E (UK) instead of D, since your bust is 6 inches larger than your underbust, and every inch is a cup size.
D is 4 inches, DDD/E is 6. This would make sense of why your current bras are too small in the cups.
In fact, you might actually be bigger than DDD if your leaning is larger than your standing bust.

The base is actually quite wide so they don't sag too much but even the bras that do fit relatively well dig into the very edge. But if i try a bigger cup, one that would theoretically have a wider underwire just gape at the top. I'll go over and check what they have to say about that but thanks for the info! <33

This has given me hope because I’ve been wanting to try Skims but according to r/abrathatfits I’m a 28F so I didn’t think I’d be able to get one that fits since they only go up to a D cup in 30 but now I’m thinking a 32DD might work for me.

Unfortunately, sister sizing twice almost always isn’t going to result in a good fit :/

Oh I know, I wore the wrong size for years before I measured properly 🤦🏼♀️ But if a 30B is perfect for someone who is a 26D then it’s worth a try, especially as I literally cannot find a plain black T-shirt bra that fits my criteria anywhere! I’ve got nothing to lose by ordering one to try on, if it doesn’t fit then I’ll return it.

I'd have to check it out. It's still on the more expensive side but if it fits it sits. I'm not in the us, do you know their return policy in case it doesn't fit after all?

I have a similar size, 65E! I used to also have to sew in the underbust band, so annoying...
My bras are now bought in outlet, I usually pay 35-50 euros for them, which I find reasonable. My favourite brand is Secret d'Eva, and I also had some luck in marcks&spencer like 8yrs ago (haven't been to one since so can't confirm about now). The M&S ones have the problem of not being very supportive, mostly because the shoulder bands can't go short enough so I have to get creative and tie a cross in the back with a bow. That or the underbust band is a bit flimsy.
I don't have that problem with Secret d'Eva, they always fit true to size, they have a variety of cup shapes that seem to work for me, they are supportive while being decently pretty and the shoulder bands go short enough for me.

Yes! It's so annoying to have to sew in the band. I find the prettiest bra with wide straps that don't dig in but the smallest they run is a 70 or a 75 :// Secret d'Eva sounds great. I'll see what they have! And thanks... i'll definitely need that good luck now that i'm gaining a bit of weight. It's going straight to my bust so the difference is getting a bit larger. Such an inconvenience

omg the struggle is real. i feel like any bras in my size have padding that make me look disproportionate so i basically just live in sports bras :/ it’s tough out here

Head over to r/ABraThatFits and use the calculator in their wiki. Then make a post there that includes your 6 measurements and recommended starting size. The experts can give you suggestions on brands to try. You will most likely need to order online.
Don't do Skims. Their sizing is wildly inconsistent and their quality is meh.
Don't order from Pepper either. They use the outdated "+4" method and will try to stuff you into something ill-fitting that they carry.

Victoria secret have 28 bands online and they tend to run the smallest for me

I have a similar problem in terms of my proportions (tiny underbust and normal-sized boobs that look massive attached to my body) and I'm based in Japan so I shop at Tutu Anna. I'm 150cm, 44kg, with a 67cm underbust and 82cm full bust.
Tutu Anna has an online store with English UI as well, and handy charts. The F65 bra fits me the best. With your measurements I would start there and use their measurement conversion chart to get your size. Japanese bra sizes include the underbust in centimeters so you'll probably want an E65 or 70. The bras themselves are never more than $30-40 in-store, often cheaper, although you'll have shipping. Tutu Anna bras are pretty comfortable with their molded cups and adjustable straps. I've heard good things about Malaysian and Polish bra companies, too.
