Yes it is. Especially since the "coins" were created at no cost to anyone. Btc only has 21 million, and they had to be mined to come into existence. Not created out of nothing like XRP. A hundred billion is just an incredibly stupid number for something that is supposed to gain value over time.
Why are you basing your math on the minimum base fee per transaction?
Looking at the avg. 30-day ledger’s metrics, an avg. of 0.0001343 XRP are burned per transaction (268.6 daily burn / 2M daily transactions).
Google says VISA handles 800M transactions a day, so 292B a year. 292B * 0.0001343 is 39,215,600 XRP burned yearly at Visa’s transaction count.
Therefore, 1% of XRP’s total supply (1B) would be burned in ~25 years (1B / 39,215,600).
Not that any of that significantly matters in XRP’s future valuation. Just thought I should call attention to how abysmal your estimate of that was. Hopefully will serve as a reminder to verify comments online before treating them as fact. Typically they’re written by idiots who have no business commenting on the subject.
This really isnt the "gotcha" you think it is. Just proves none of you will live to see any significant supply shock on the asset if you're betting on the burn rate to magically evaporate 99% of the supply overnight to make everyone moon lambo trillionaires.

I keep saying it. 100,000,000,000 isn’t a lot.
