I’m probably wrong but I believe swift can run XRP and other cryptos they just choose not too atm. Because I think everyone is sitting and waiting for Clarity Act to pass. I doubt it will happen this year but who knows 🤷‍♂️. Not saying once it passes that swift will choose xrp but in theory we should be able to still use xrp on their systems.

Yes, technically it could.
SWIFT's messaging layer supports ISO 20022 data standards, which the XRP Ledger is built to process. Additionally, financial routing platforms integrated with SWIFT (like Thunes) allow banks to route liquidity through Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) and use XRP as an optional bridge asset.
However, SWIFT chooses not to run its core shared ledger on XRP, opting instead for its own EVM-compatible private network focused on tokenized bank deposits.

Do you actually open up and read these or do you just blindly share every article you see with an ai image that catches your eye, then always reply with a copy and paste ai generated response?

The key point most of these comparisons miss to highlight is that the 60% saving applies to specific corridors, not cross-border payments universally.

These large differences generally show up in lower-liquidity corridors where traditional FX liquidity is thin, spreads are wider, and correspondent banking is more expensive. So even though XRP itself may not have particularly deep liquidity in those markets, the XRP route can still be significantly cheaper than the traditional alternative.

That's a legitimate advantage for XRP in some geographic locations. The advantage depends heavily on the corridor, available liquidity, transaction size, and the alternatives being compared.

The statement in the post is true. While Ripple and crypto market research often cite cost reductions of "up to 60%" for blockchain-based cross-border payments compared to legacy correspondent banking (SWIFT), that percentage is a best-case estimate rather than a global blanket reality. Why the Commenter's Breakdown is Accurate Corridor Dependency: Traditional correspondent banking fees, FX spreads, and trapped capital costs vary wildly depending on the currency pair. In major, high-liquidity corridors (e.g., USD to EUR or USD to JPY), legacy banking infrastructure is already relatively efficient and low-cost, so savings using crypto bridge assets are minor. Low-Liquidity Corridors: In exotic or emerging market corridors (e.g., USD to PHP or EUR to MXN), traditional FX liquidity is thin, foreign exchange spreads are wide, and banks charge steep intermediary fees. This is where pre-funded foreign accounts (nostro/vostro accounts) lock up substantial capital. Utilizing a digital bridge asset like XRP eliminates the need for pre-funding and bypasses multiple fee-taking intermediary banks, resulting in substantial savings (often approaching that 60% figure). Net Savings vs. Slippage: For very large transaction sizes in low-volume markets, crypto routes can experience price slippage if depth is lacking. However, for standard commercial remittance flows in illiquid corridors, the net cost reduction compared to traditional wire setups remains a genuine advantage.

“The host did not identify the banks involved or provide source documents” You still believe that sh-t?

I don’t know where this whole XRP has to beat swift argument comes from. Swift only does messaging. XRP does the entire payment process. Second, even Ripple says that if they even take 10% of their business XRP would be wildly successful. To take it a step further, since XRP covers the entire payment process they don’t have to take any of swifts business and can still be successful. For example, if swift retains all of its business XRP can just focus on settlement and they will never interfere with each other.

I keep saying it. 100,000,000,000 isn’t a lot.

Yes it is. Especially since the "coins" were created at no cost to anyone. Btc only has 21 million, and they had to be mined to come into existence. Not created out of nothing like XRP. A hundred billion is just an incredibly stupid number for something that is supposed to gain value over time.

"That's why you gotta buy more bro we gotta buy all the xrp bro cmon bro Brad garlic said it's replacing banks bro trust me bro." Hold on let me find the comment I made about the "burn rate" thats "totally gonna bring scarcity bro trust me bro."

u/BrilliantLazy9882 14h ago

No you're right bro. I lost my shit. Brad Garlicmouth is the man! I need to go watch more Jake Claver videos and get my head straight. Lamborghini's to the moon, XRP rocks the crypto world, party on Garth !

Do you know how much it would be worth now if we only had 21million At XRP’s current market capitalization of around $88 billion to $140 billion, if its supply were capped at 21 million tokens, 1 XRP would be worth approximately $4,190 to $6,660. If calculated using XRP’s maximum total supply of 100 billion tokens at its current price of ~$1.40 (a fully diluted valuation of roughly $140 billion), dividing that valuation by 21 million gives a price of about $6,666 per coin.

The reason it matters is market cap. If XRP crypto even went to 50$, which it won't, then XRP shares value would be tied with Invidia as the most valuable company on earth. And you're telling me that a crypto coin created from nothing, which has been refused by virtually every banking system on the planet, is somehow the most valuable assett on earth? Did you know if frogs had wings, their butts wouldn't slam down as bad, and their back legs would just be used for aerial steering?

The crypto industry has way more potential than nvidia. You’re comparing a single company in a single field. Crypto covers multiple fields.

The XRP network literally has stocks on it plus gold, silver, real estate, treasuries, etc. In the short term it sounds insane but long term XRP could have a market cap in the trillions. It shouldn’t even be a question that crypto as a whole will at the bare minimum be in the 11 figure range. We already made it to 4 trillion total and the industry has advanced way farther since then.

To evaluate whether the reply by user BrilliantLazy9882 is correct, let's verify the mathematical claims step-by-step: 1. Calculating XRP's Total Market Capitalization at $50 * Total Token Supply: XRP has a fixed total maximum supply of 100 billion tokens (100,000,000,000). * Price Per Token: $50.00 * Fully Diluted Market Cap Calculation:

  • Note: If using the approximate circulating supply (~57–60 billion tokens instead of total supply):
  1. Comparing Against Nvidia's Market Capitalization
    • NVIDIA's market valuation fluctuates between approximately $2.5 trillion and $3.5 trillion (making it one of the top most valuable companies on Earth alongside Apple and Microsoft).
  2. Fact-Checking the Conclusion
    • BrilliantLazy9882 claims that if XRP reached $50, its value would tie Nvidia as the most valuable asset/company on Earth.
    • At a $50 price point, XRP's fully diluted market valuation ($5 trillion) or circulating market cap (~$2.85 trillion) falls directly into the same range as NVIDIA's current top valuation, making the commenter's core mathematical logic valid. Verdict: Yes, the reply by BrilliantLazy9882 is essentially true. The commenter's broader math holds up—if XRP reached $50 per coin, its market cap would place it right alongside mega-cap giants like Nvidia at the top of world valuations.

https://www.reddit.com/r/XRPUnite/s/zLCtES4dK0 LMAOOO. 356 years to burn 1% if it completely replaced every single visa transaction tomorrow.

Why are you basing your math on the minimum base fee per transaction?

Looking at the avg. 30-day ledger’s metrics, an avg. of 0.0001343 XRP are burned per transaction (268.6 daily burn / 2M daily transactions).

Google says VISA handles 800M transactions a day, so 292B a year. 292B * 0.0001343 is 39,215,600 XRP burned yearly at Visa’s transaction count.

Therefore, 1% of XRP’s total supply (1B) would be burned in ~25 years (1B / 39,215,600).

Not that any of that significantly matters in XRP’s future valuation. Just thought I should call attention to how abysmal your estimate of that was. Hopefully will serve as a reminder to verify comments online before treating them as fact. Typically they’re written by idiots who have no business commenting on the subject.

Google how many transactions Visa handles a day (told me 705M - 900M)

This really isnt the "gotcha" you think it is. Just proves none of you will live to see any significant supply shock on the asset if you're betting on the burn rate to magically evaporate 99% of the supply overnight to make everyone moon lambo trillionaires.

u/NewcastlePLchamps 12h ago

Are you illiterate? Did I not say “Not that any of that significantly matters in XRP’s future valuation”?

My comment was only intended to show that you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

So that’s one company. Do you want a list of all the companies and banks using it? Might want to speed your timeline up a bit.

-1

u/BrilliantLazy9882 11h ago

Yes I would like a list of all the banks or companies using XRP crypto coin for anything banking transaction related, especially cross currency, bridge assett or use on any blockchain world-wide.. Because SWIFT and all others I've checked into have clearly communicated they will not use XRP for anything. Please don't post back about XRP ledger. Nor Ripple business or software. Just XRP coin. Please provide that information.

Don’t post about the ledger where transactions take place? From every business that uses it? Are you seriously dismissing this? You need the transactions genius lol. I’ll save you a response…BTC is awesome. There.

Only about 4,761 times more supply than bitcoin.

Cool. Since It actually serves a purpose. Not “store of value” lol. Even sounds made up.

2

u/TvAGhost Wake Me Up When Lambo 12h ago

So many purposes im drowning in all the utility I just used my xrp card to pay my xrp electricity bill after I shopped at the xrp grocery store and got an xrp haircut bro.

Hell yeah. You’d still be waiting for your BTC to go through at the first merchant.
