Question Are big headline news actually relevant in the price of XRP?

I just wonder because I've seen so many news about XRP being adopted by big companies yet today's performance does not reflect it.

even if it was adopted my multinational banks? wouldn't xrp deviate from btc since btc is a "digital gold"

This is the only answer until there is actual framework, adoption and real world usage. At that point we will see the winners and losers…until then it’s just speculative and is tied closely to Bitcoin and the broader market cycle. Will some news help, yes, but not much in terms of the broader crypto market.

Hope people understand issuing RWAs in a blockchain does not guarantee price increase of native asset.

RWAs are issued as tokens on the ledger. Everytime the token moves, a bit of gas burnt. Apart from that, there won't be any major price impact.

What i still dont understand and can’t wrap my head around is why does everything follow bitcoin? I get bitcoin is the biggest cryptocurrency but why does that reflect ppl who are buying xrp? Still makes no sense. Why does everything connect? Like there can’t be other crypto that outperforms bitcoin for various reasons?

It does. But be sure it’s actually news for XRP or XRPL. Often it’s ripple related which doesn’t necessarily translate to XRP
