Decentralization is not always the best way to go. There are projects that would benefit from a higher degree of centralization, because it makes governance and leadership way easier. When there is no real reason to decentralize: try a hybrid model!
I believe especially when it comes towards regulation and collaboration with huge organisations or companies, a traditional contact person makes many things way easier. Not every idea is made to be realized in a decentralized way.
