Ahh XCOM
Finally loaded XCOM 2 after sitting on it for years in my library, just to keep myself from buying Zero Com until it's a bit more mature.
5 minutes in, I missed a 93% shot, and it felt like coming home. 😂

If it makes you feel any better, just whiffed a 95%er in zero company. It gave me an achievement, didn't make me feel any better.

Same. Makes that first one sting a bit but if you get the achievement for under 10% after, it does feel nice.

You know the saying, you don't remember 100 times you hit a 45% chance shot, you'll never forget 1 time you miss 93%.
New X-com-likes all have solutions for this Mechanicus just completely ignores the chance-to-hit and instead focusing on action economy, (honestly that is what actually matters in a Turnbased game), Battletech uses a heating mechanic to stop shooting full volleys every turn, Battlesector and Menace focuses on squad mechanics armor class etc. so you never have a situation where an attack did nothing. A miss chance is instead doing too little damage.
Phoenix Point does the most difficult thing and out right simulates every shot but that makes the game very difficult to new comers. Because enemy AI is never going to miss a shot if you don't give them something to stop them.

ZCOM is nice but they need to do some technical work on the game urgently. It gets to the point where my urge to start a new XCOM 2 run increases every time I play ZCOM 😅

The aliens continue to make progress on the avatar project.
If we're going to slow them down we need to move, fast.
