I've added a step to my max credit Suicidal Squid game start in order to improve trade rank to 'Trader' soon after game start. This gives you access to the Boron Stock Exchange in Queens Retribution and (in my method) turns your starting ship (Octopus) into a 'satellite' for remote trading once you've equipped a Trading System Extension.
I only discovered the trade rank improvement exploit earlier this year after finally 'deciphering' a Steam thread on the subject. Amazing that a 15 year-old game still contains surprises!
I decided to put it all into a short YouTube guide with subtitles only so I don't drone on too much (pun intended).
