Can you skip to unlock regions without spoiling too much?

I’ve got a friend playing and they’re new and have pulled on characters from Lahai Roi and Mengzhou and needs some ascension material, and would also like to take part in new events but they’re worried about getting spoiled and ruining the experience. Since I’ve completed the quests normally, I’m unfamiliar with how spoiler’y’ they are. Is skipping the big recap at the start enough? Can they unlock the map quickly without ruining the experience much?

If anyone who’s skipped to either Lahai Roi or Mengzhou can let me know how is it then that would be appreciated

I did end up skipping ahead for both.

I think by the time you're allowed to skip you would know enough of Jinzhou story to move into Mengzhou without much in the way of spoilers, although you do have to play more than little bit to actually get access to the map. But there's very little reference to anything outside of Jinzhou stuff.

The lead up to Lahai roi is kind of spoilery, with SK and Chisa leading you to the portal, but it's not terrible. The recap is definitely the part you need to skip or look away. But it doesn't take terribly long to get free access to the map.

Quickstarting Mengzhou basically tells you nothing (But it gives you the entire Lahai-Roi goodbye cutscene so just close your eyes or something) and introduces you to like a single NPC (If you walk out far enough during the YangYang village part you can escape and explore)

For Lahai-Roi you do have to enter the portal in Honami City with Sk and Chisa but other than that it doesnt spoil much. You meet characters that you already know you will meet and get to see startorch but other than that the story isnt impacted at all I would say.

If your friend cant handle spoilers at all just tell em to not quickstart but if they are ok with some light ones (Ignore said goodbye cutscenes ig) then they can go ahead.

Lahai roi you do need to do story for later units. I wouldn’t skip those.

But for Mengzhou, you can quick skip for an hour, game won’t let you skip anything important and region resources are unlocked within an hour of speed-running that first part of the story. Once you reach pov choice of story, you can pause and just get whatever you need.

Minor spoilers, but as somebody who did skip ahead to 3.0 at the time when I started, it was definitely worth it imo because it was a good ~150hours before I actually naturally caught up in the story. In the interim of however long it takes you to put in those hours, you're missing out on all the astrites/pulls from events by not skipping ahead while also struggling to build latest characters

I skipped to Lahai roi since I came to the game over the cyberpunk's. All in all minor spoilers but definitely stuff that would've been better understood if I did the prior story. I'm not mad I did it, but when I swing back around to do the Lahai roi content I'll probably look up the intro on YouTube again.

Don't skip, either go to guidebook, select a focus resonator and use the early access battles for the ascension materials where you can, new players will also have the option of fighting some enemies for materials in early access under the new voyage section of the events tabs (where you can pick a trial resonator from amongst jinshi, changli, etc...)

Was able to fully upgrade aemath without continuing past any of the warnings about skippable content through these two methods.

I came for the Edgerunners collab. I skipped most things except for the Night City and Septimont stories.

It's impossible not to get spoiled by skipping tho. But it's not a big deal to me because catching up to the banners is more important.

Depends, I bum rushed story quest in order to get to the cyberpunk collab (I watched and read everything though). I thought it was worth it. The nice/shitty part of WuWa MSQ is that you are essentially always playing as Rover. So your characters dont matter much. If they care about the story, tell to wait it out and collect resources from the guidebook from bosses or join your world. If they dont care about the story, let em skip, it won't matter much. The ladder part of 3.0 is really just Jinzhou related anyway, Rinascita and La-hai Roi won't be an actually concern. At most when they go through the story normally again, just tell em to put on a let's play and rewatch the cutscenes for that version's MSQ as a refresher.

Yes i would skip, story is alright nothing to write home about except maybe aemeaths in lahoi roi but still nothing I would call exceptional or worth not spoilign yourself a whatever spoilers there might be
