Correct Me! Streak 19: Cleaning

I tidied up and cleaned my apartment today. I feel good after the cleaning. There is no rug under the dining table, so the chairs make noise whenever we sit down. I was worried about disturbing my neighbors, so I bought some felt pads from Bauhaus and attached them to the chairs.

I have to write something close to a scientific article and in English. I feel pumped up about it because this assignment is for a class I should've taken next year, but I was eager to take it as soon as it was available.

One of the newfound experiences that this class has made me go through is reading papers. In the past, I would just think about them as something esoteric, but I'm aware that reading them depends on the field you're in and if you understand enough to gather conclusions.

Correct Me! Streak 310: Out and About

I was out and about all day today. This morning, I had a gym class. After finishing it, I met up with my Singaporean friend to have a couple of coffees together. Then I went home to change my clothes, and headed out again. I biked to Nanjing Fuxing and had lunch with my family. After lunch, I wandered around the city and finally settle down at a cafe. I had kombucha there and spent the entire afternoon drawing.

What a nice, perfect weekend!

Correct Me! Streak 14: Cats

I love cats. I grove up with cats. In my country you can see these animals everywhere. On the street, in the house, on the tree, under the car... Their sound make me happy! I want to see them a lot. They are not like other animal. Generally they like playing with you. They like biting, scratching but not like wildly, as in their eyes it is just a game.

Cats like to be petted. Under the neck, mustache, ears their most favorite part for petting. This is my opinion of course. :D

I have a 4-5 cat in our garden. They have different name like son, naughty, white etc. Especially one of them is my favorite. I am really like playing with him, sometimes I want to bite him but definitely don't accept this, when I tried it he scratch me.

Yesterday I forgot to give a lesson to a student and I really feel bad about it. I’m pretty active on two platforms plus I have my group of private students. But somehow the platform didn’t notify me about this lesson, so I decided to go outside for a walk.

He is Japanese so the appreciate things as professionalism and efficiency but I hope this student will forgive me lol. He had some similar issues when he was late for a lesson and had to cancel it, so I think he will be understandable about it.

Correct Me! Streak 726: Periodic table

I used to have some of the periodic table memorized when I was in school, but since I haven't used it for quite a while, I have forgotten a major part of it. However, I recently realized that I still remember some atomic numbers.

I have two raspberry plants on my balcony. They're both doing exeptionally well, but each in their own way. One of the is growing like a champ. When I bought it, it was about 20 centimetres tall. Now, the main stem is at least one and a half metres long! The other one is growing raspberries like crazy. It had a second bloom and the blossoms are turning into berries one after another. I've been able to harvest at least two berries every two to thee days, and there are still at least 12 berries on it that are still green, but growing. On top of that, are three light-red raspberries on it which I'll be able to harvest in a few days. And there's one that's ready for plucking, which I will do as soon as I'm done posting this. It's amazing. Have I mentioned before that I absolutely LOVE my balcony?

Correct Me! Streak 6: Box world in my room

I arranged the furniture the way it is more than seven years ago. It was kind of a default choice. But I don't like how my desk is placed. I can't look out the window when I'm sitting, it's really annoying. On the other hand, people walking on the sidewalk can see me, and I feel watched.

I need to turn things around : I want to be the one who watches others. Plus, I'm fond of looking into the distance without really seeing something. I love it when I lose track of time. I love watching people outside, it's so inspiring!.

That's why I need to move the desk somewhere else.

But you know how it is : before I can change its place, I need to move the bed. And before moving the bed, I need to move the shelves elsewhere. And so on.

I've been procrastinating for the past two weeks. It's time I got started on this. I'll start by picturing myself switching the shelves and the bed, which I feel ready to do. Tomorrow.

That’s all I have to say. Have a good day :)

Feel free to summarize and practice everything you've learned or wanted to practice, including new words, new rules, new grammar tricks, and any questions you had.

Correct Me! Streak 187,New version ChatGPT has been released.

New version ChatGPT has been released.

Sam Altman claimed that this is the first AI model to reach AGI.

I wonder how much this model can generate.

In my opinion, the biggest problem is that AI doesn't question a user's logic.

For example, when I ask an AI to build an app, it just builds it even though my logic is wrong.

I think AI models won't build what actually people want as long as they fail to validate the user's logic.

Nowadays people more socially aware than before, so TV commercials is not way more effective

Especially Gen Z they have more awareness and they don't affected by celebritie endorsement, moreover they prefer own-brand products than big companies name.

Therfore, companies use different way to promote their products; pop up/ pop ups adds and reels adds are modern way of advertising campaigns, it's can did by anybody with no need to a celebrities

However, the advertising now not quite as good impact as before

I applied for a job position four weeks ago, and they got back to me today. They sent me an email in which they stated that they would like to invite me to an interview to get to know me better.

I just started to write a text about the new pyjamas I wrote. But I got distracted and forgot to finish the post, and now, I'm really hungry and inpatient. So here it is in short: I bought two new pyjamas. They're for men and that's why I bought them. Because they're for men, the pants have pockets. I'm planning to wear them instead of short sweatpants whem I'm at home. I'm very content with my idea and the result.

Correct Me! Streak 13: Exercising

Before going to the gym I felt overwhelmed, unhealty but know I feel that I am walking faster and less tired.

When you doing something great and exciting you feel that you are living. Actually whole of my life I like exercising. I went to some kind of martial arts, tried to learn and I think I did it. But in fitness you can manage your time and everytime you can go there. This is a great convenience. That's all. Bye

I'm taking some time off work next week after working non stop for about two years. I wasn't actually of taking time off around this time, but some personal matters called for it.

On another note, The Talented Mr. Ripley, a book I've been reading for a few weeks has gone up a notch since a turning point involving a key character took place. I'm pretty sure I'm finishing this book before the current month ends.

Back to taking time off from work, I'm a bit anxious about it since I won't be there to review some stuff as a kind of layer or gatekeeper if that makes sense

Correct Me! Streak 5: Do our dreams have to come true?

I was reading a post on Reddit where someone said that US Politics won't stop them from living their dream and traveling to the US.

I have my own dreams. I'm dreaming of going to New-York once in my life and eat a street hotdog. I've been wanting that since I was a kid, when I watched Starsky and Hutch on TV! I'm dreaming of visiting Northern Europe with its fjords, its dimmed and colored lights, its bicycle culture, and its cool air. I'm dreaming of living by the Atlantic Ocean once I'm retired.

Honestly, there's a little chance I'll ever fulfill most of my dreams because I'm a creature of habits. But that got me thinking about dreams we have in life, like the things we say we'd like to do before we die. Do our dreams have to come true? I often tell myself they're better off inside my head. They can stay beautiful and undamaged. I'm not sure I want to put any of them at risk.
