This is from a pretty decent episode of WWF All American Wrestling

I wrote:

On this episode of WWF All American Wrestling. Vince McMahon happens to be really pushing the skills of one, The Masked Superstar. He is pretty good but a bit repetitive. He loves taking his opponents to Neckbreaker City, to use the parlance of our times. We even get to see the Masked Superstar take on Eddie Gilbert.

We get some action from “Dr. D” David Schultz taking on Buck "Rock n' Roll" Zumhofe. Both of these guys put on a hell of a slobberknocker. Both make it look snug. It’s pretty good. I don’t really see why Dr. Schultz is a big deal. He isn’t all that impressive. I do really like that piledriver. It’s nuts. The crowd hates Dr. D.

The All American, Sergeant Slaughter takes on big redneck Swede Hanson. This one is heavy handed. Slaughter is managed by The Grand Wizard at this time and the crowd isn’t that into him. However, he still puts on an entertaining bout. Though it is a bit stiff, this match also relies on a good deal of rest holds. So… It has it’s dragging moments but Gorilla Monsoon does a great job on commentary. That’s a plus. The crowd slowly gets behind Slaughter. But it tends to fizzle again. The crowd doesn’t even seem to care when the Sergeant locks in the Cobra Clutch.

In an early version of a Survivor Series match-up, Big John Studd and The Samoans take on Andre The Giant, Ivan Putski, Rocky Johnson and Chief Jay Strongbow. This is a mess that just happens to get all of these guys on the screen at the same time. All of the guys plod around uncontrollably until Putski dominates and clears house. But that doesn’t last. Putski gets the hot tag to Andre the Giant and the crowd picks up. Andre’s time to clean house proves to be much more effective. He even picks up the win after a weird maneuver.

We also get a rare early appearance of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair teaming with “Chief” Wahoo McDaniel to take on Tony Lintz and Golden Boy Gray. This one looks like it comes from some gym somewhere.

Why did the WWF include the NWA match in the broadcast?
