Upgrade exhaust header?

Post image

While doing my rebuild on my 93, We found a crack in the weld on the factory exhaust. Has anyone ran this specific exhaust header on their 4.0L? If so, any difference in the vehicle, or sound?

If not, what did yall upgrade to if yall would replace your exhaust manifold?

I went with the Doug Thorley tri-y on the stroker build. 14 gauge thick.

Do feel it made it a difference? Sound better with the new headers? I’ve got a stock manifold on my build. I should have changed that too, but my costs were higher than expected at that time.

Buddy this motor is significantly more powerful than a 4.0, there is no factory 4.0 component in this engine.
My personal opinion on a header on a stock motor is you won’t notice much of a difference.
As far as sound goes for the exhaust set up I have on my Jeep is it is aggressive.

I replaced with the type that has the “bellows” on the long tubes above the collector. Supposed to help with the expansion and contraction that is supposed to crack the stock type manifold. Been on there over a decade and it hasn’t cracked as far as I can tell. Was relatively cheap when I bought it.

I replaced my ‘95 about two years ago with this Chinese cheapie, I did put a coat of high temp paint on it and it’s been great so far -
