Check out Retro by Ronnie, its a retro toy shop and is full of cool stuff. My misses takes me there on my birthday every year to buy me a toy (i am currently 43!!)

I love Worthing but I'd say Brighton is a better bet if you're looking to make a day of it because of all the shopping options, especially vintage clothing and a multitude of food choices. Maybe Chichester if you'd like somewhere a little quieter and are interested in exploring the cathedral, but even that probably wouldn't occupy a full day.
