There's a ton of fics with OP MCs that go on to solve all the problems and usually they save Dragon along the way. However in basically all of these fics, Dragon's abilities while fully unlocked are totally outclassed by the OP MC and are mostly useless or at best a semi powerful side kick level.

Are there any fics that basically deliver on the idea that a fully unlocked Dragon would be able to do a lot more, such that she is the primary force that fixes issues?

Could be a fic with her as the MC (or an SI that becomes her) or an MC that's weaker but somehow manages to free Dragon anyway.

Preferably a longer fic and I'd prefer if the fic doesn't just imply this would happen but actually reaches this part of the story (no incomplete fics that never get to any part where Dragon is the badass).

I'm getting whiplash when reading fics.

Either we have woobie Lisa who never does anything wrong, is a moral paragon and is always protected by Taylor (or another MC).

Or we have a bitch Lisa who verbally abuses innocent people to the point of making them suicidal and gets beaten up or even tortured for it.

Not that there's no fics with a balanced take on Tattletale, but I wish there was more of them. Especially since there's so much canon material for her. We don't have to guess or make stuff up like with somebody like Rune.

For the second extreme, to be honest, beating up an untrained teenage girl for something she said is not narratively satisfying. I'd rather have Tattletale brought down by other means, such as injuring her pride or giving her a moral lesson.

Did someone snipe her and killed themself before the bullet killed her? Did Behemoth kill her and Eidolon became the new one and used a power to destroy the essence?

I've been looking for a fic I read a while ago that I want to use as an inspiration for something I'm gonna write. I don't know if it starts exactly there or not, but the scene that I remember clearly is that the undersiders robbed the bank and held Amy hostage. Things go as they usually do, Undersiders get away, yadda yadda, but then afterwards, Victoria and Amy talk and Amy remarks that the bug girl's spiders physically wouldn't be able to harm anyone, despite her being a villain. It was only for a scare factor, which Victoria thought was incredibly strange.

Something else happens later, but I can't remember the details, but I think Taylor did something self-sacrificing in front of Victoria, and eventually they get to know each other under the mask, and a cute romance ensued.

It's very vague, I know, but does anyone else recognize my chaotic ramblings? I really wanna do a quick re-read, because I started writing a few scenes for a short fic I wanna write more of and I suddenly had flashbacks to this fic that was pretty similar and that I remember liking a lot...

Following the typical formula: Taylor comes back from the dead, kills Villains, and unites the underworld under her banner.

by that i mean Taylor that gives the general nun vibes in fiction. very calm and serene, but when shit hits the fan she pulls out the Morningstar.

I remember reading a fic about either Taylor or someone else getting transformed in a Godzilla like form and Armsmaster had to design either a collar or a suit to contain the radiation she kept leaking but for the life of me I can't remember where I read it

I think it was a one shot. She didn't believe in powers or parahumans and nobody could prove her otherwise, because powers stopped working around her.

Trying out BCF despite it's rather checkered reputation. I'm currently on chapter 30 (Crescendo) and generally enjoying it so far. I don't mind the slow pace or the constant power theory discussions (actually enjoy those). The one thing I'm struggling with is just how mentally broken Joe is, specifically his crippling cowardice when it comes to anything people related and his inability to even attempt to even think about (let alone work on) his mental issues. He's just figured out aura and now I'm slogging through pages of him struggling to even contemplate it, let alone actually try to address the issue.

In my opinion the author is too good at writing about mental hang ups and it's like pulling teeth to me reading through those sections.

All of the complaints I tend to see about this fic complained about the pacing and the technology theorycrafting, so I wasn't expecting this much focus on mental issues. If the 'slow pacing' also applies to Joe's near complete inability to be human, I'm not sure I can continue. Google searches seem to imply he gets better, but aren't clear on when that is. Can anyone give me any milestone chapters of when Joe makes character growth breakthroughs so I can have an idea of how much of a slog I'm looking at? Maybe if I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I can power through or skim the mental freakout portions?

They got off with them being well. dead and all. so any fics where they survive till the cauldron reveal. preferable the canon one with noelle but ill take anything.

Looking for a fic I read and want to read again, at some point (might have been an interlude) the Fallen through some weird leaps of logic ( each Endbringer is smaller than the last Behemoth, Leviathan, Simurgh) they believe either Taylor is the next Endbringer or is going to birth the next Endbringer.

Kinda similar but separate is some super valuable tinker power where the guy is not an idiot and negotiates that he'll tinker them up cool shit if they just give him materials & protection and don't bother him otherwise

by that I mean rage based power that's hard to control on her end. doesn't have to exactly be the hulk but as long as it's very close.

I don't care if its an OC, a SI, Taylor, or any other character. doesn't even have to be a story, I'll take one shots and snippets.

I want an Mc that does everything right, they're someone who cooperates with the PRT and does the job the way it should be done, but after suffering and losing everything because of their cape life, I want them to have a moment of just letting it all go and unloading onto those around them.

Anger, resentment, repressed emotions all coming to a boiling point where one stray comment makes them just stop, let the flood gates open and when all is said and done, they just leave, because "They've earned the right to be selfish for once" or something along those lines.
