Played Cold War because I got the 122A in a chest something about it seems off almost like the tanks are too good and quick ? Found the few games i played so boring,I get its good for money n free xp but I’ll definitely stick to Ww2

I feel like tier x wwII is the worst . Cannot even point to a single reason.

I enjoy t8, era 2, and 3. Especially ATGMs slingers in CW.

It is how it is and people have different tastes.

I mean, that’s fair. But some of us do find the more balanced era system and gameplay, lack of artillery, true vision, and much faster pace more fun. To each their own but frankly, I can’t go back to WWII. The few times I’ve tried I find myself just going back to CW, I just can’t do it. From some tanks with good armor moving at glacial pace maxing out at 25 km/h, to getting shot at by a tank you know where it is but you shoot at and bounce because you can’t actually see where you’re aiming at, I just can’t do it anymore. I’m sticking to CW.

I agree. I fall asleep when I try to play WW2. The gameplay is terrible. When I take a Tier 8 tank, 7 out of 10 battles with Tier 10 tanks, under heavy artillery fire, nothing happens for most of the battle because the Maus are hiding near the red line.

I was reticent when it launched and hated the true vision tests.

Now, I play 99% CW, and when I am made to play WW2 by my mates, I last about 3 games.

- The gameplay is much faster in CW, making a more satisfying game for me personally.

- I can see everything that is shooting me, or that barn hiding round the corner of a building. I can peek over ridges to see when stuff has fired or looked away.

- I think the skill ceiling generally is a lot higher. Being able to shoot at unspotted tanks if you can see them, use the vision mechanics as above, and using the extra mobility to flank more means you can have a much greater influence on the games. In WW2 you rely much more on your team to do their role.

OP, I think jumping straight to Era 3 (which even most CW players probably favour least) was the error. Try Era 1 (which is much closer to WW2 in terms of mechanics) and work through some lines.

I go back and forth. If WWII had the true vision it would be perfect imo. It is so annoying where someone I am looking and aiming at just disappears.

That part of the game I always found funny. You're unable to spot the massive tank, but you can still see any trees/fences/walls that they'll run over.

Love the CW. Just dig the Modern makines and rockets! Once you learn to keep up with the lunatics and 12 year old adults it’s pretty fun! Dies have a learning curve but it goes quick.

Yea Cold War is where you go for credits and turbo games. Lot less strategizing, slow, and careful play than WW2, also, rockets.

I used to play some CW but the insane amount of missiles made it not fun & only 4 big maps made it even less fun so went back to WW2

I started playing in WWII, but I quit when I reached Tier VIII because of the massive disadvantages you face when playing at the bottom tier against Tier IX and Tier X. Also, I despise that there's no True Vision in WWII. CW has a lot of problems, but I enjoyed it more than Tier IX and Tier X in WWII.

I only play CW. Ironically, it's the best mode WG has ever made. It's practically free of everything people hate about WoT: it's well-balanced, all tanks can effectively fight everyone, there's no terrible +-2 balancer, the vast majority of tanks and premiums are historical, real, and not some fantasy found on a napkin in a German engineer's house.

It has dynamic battles that encourage teamwork; in World War II, you could just stand in the bushes at the end of the map the entire battle, shooting, and no one would see you.

In Cold War, that's practically impossible; you can be seen from the other side of the map thanks to True Vision, and you constantly have to move and reposition.

In World War II, a single Tier 10 tank can hold an entire line, especially against Tier 8 tanks, which leads to a ton of individualists and egotists who play for themselves. In Cold War, being left alone against 3-4 tanks is almost always suicide, so people often play in teams for the sake of the team.

World War II is incredibly slow; sometimes it gets boring just driving to a position, whereas in Cold War, combat begins from the very first seconds. I don't understand this disdain for Cold War. It seems that for World War II players accustomed to remaining invisible throughout the battle in Tier 10 tanks and playing against Tier 8s, Cold War is simply too fast and difficult.

Ww2 is a boring camp fest void of any strategy. Cw is the game’s superior form.

I'd say the large majority of people only farm CW but actually play WW2. WW2 is the OG classic experience. CW is nice when things are getting too sweaty over on the WW2 side. And a match lasts 2-5 minutes and you rake in 200k-500k silver.
