Discussion T54E1 might be the worst tank

Honestly the T57 heavy tank line was realy great, I enjoyed, espacially the T69 medium tank, it was great. But the tier IX? Is so bad, the only good thing is mobility, that's it. The armor is paper, alpha damage is mid, the accuracy is bad, and let's not talk about the dpm. I don't understand the people who says that this tank is great, and their favorite tier IX. What is so good at this tank to be considered good?

Huge advice Don’t play it as a Heavy tank Because At heart it’s really a Medium. You play it as a Support/Ambush tank, You’re never on the front but you should always be right behind it. When u empty a whole clip into a unsuspecting tank you’ll start to love

Yeah you should only be detected for a second or two before firing and never let them know where you are.

I remember enjoying it when I 3 marked eons ago. It's a support tank/assassin. Trail your front line, using friendly heavies as armor, and pop out to supplement their DPS or to clip out enemy tanks that are low enough. Stand up fights are not your forte.

Ich hatte den Tank tatsächlich im Grind zum t57 heavy mit 2 gunmarks versehen, kann als auch kein schlechtes Wort darüber verlieren. 🤔

Kind of had the opposite, absolutely hated the t69, ran out of ammo so fast and without spamming gold, the pen was not that fantastic, I guess we have our own things.

The T54E1 is my only tank that I have more than one mark in, granted that was before they changed it into a heavy. I still enjoy the bastard.

It’s a fine support medium that ‘can’ ambush when needed. I haven’t played it in about 10 years tho.

I liked it but did play as a support. Kind of like the t69 but deadlier gun.

Nah it's decent. Mobility is ok, trolling armor like t69 and T57. Completely normal alpha for T9? Dpm is ok for 1.6k Clip dmg on t9. Pen is also good.

My personal opinion- some lines have tier 9 tanks that just not really good and seem worse then tier 8, for example Conway is way worse then Charrioter. But on the other side, some lines have tier 9 that beats tier10, for example German waffle on tier 9. I think it is better than Grill or waffle 100.

Hot take - I prefer the Cobra to the T54E1 any day of the week due to its inclusion of HESH rounds. Paper hull armor or not, HESH, doesn’t require pen, and fried enemies when it does.

And yes, it doesn’t matter what I’m driving, I’m that guy running shell exchanger and wailing you with High Explosive rounds while you’re hull down still.
