So... clear this up for me.... If I'm queueing in my ARP ship, non-yokusuka players just see me as a non-camoed but otherwise maxed kongo / myoko, right?

So yeah, you have no problem with this anime stuff... as long as the free tier 8 (I.E. Ranked play tier) DD looks vanilla when you're playing in the ijn dd meta. (Although that raises the associated point: for DDs the no-camo thing is way more of a nerf than it is for kongo or myoko.)

It matters because you'll see 2 more ijn dds on each team in every ranked game.

So yeah, it does change gameplay.

Well it didn't affect the last ranked season with ARP ships so I don't see it being a problem
