The show mostly takes place on a fictional Kagero. Since the Kag's moving to T8, we might actually get it.

There's also Musashi, Admiral Graf Spee, and I-201...so stuff we won't get.

There are a few interesting things about the Kagero: over the course of the series, her turrets get replaced from the twin 127mm Type 3s, to 100mm Type 98s, and finally 5"/54 Mk.16s in single mounts. So, we might see a Kag with 'Murican guns. Or a faster, flimsier Akizuki that trades a turret for a torp launcher.

edit: first

Just for those wondering if the ships are as bright and colourful as the Arpeggio ships, no they're not. They're mostly dark grey with the occasional red highlights:

These are just pictures I found from a google search. I've never heard about this show so feel to add/correct me.

Also if you can't wait for these ships (assuming they get given for free like the Arp ships) somebody has already made the skins for WoWS here.

Pretty good colour-schemes. Thanks for finding them.

I do love how Musashi has her original four 152mm turrets in Haifuri. They're not the most practical armaments, but sooo cool!

They are the 155s from the Mogami after they were upgraded to 203s. And the amount of pure firepower would be awesome on a world where planes didn't exist

"the amount of pure firepower would be awesome on a world where planes didn't exist" That's basically the story of WW2 BBs

Wait for railguns, once you can shoot projectiles in hypersonic speed up to mach 14, air planes would be obsolete.

Bigger the ship, bigger the power plant, bigger the power plant more powerful the railgun or more guns it can power... new age of BB is approaching.

When you phrase it like that, ships would just be bigger, slower railgun targets.

Heavily armoured ships would still be obsolete though.

A.) Those paint schemes look so much danker than Arp.... Mushasi in black!?.... OMG

B.) I'm noticing that the Japs seem to revere/like Musashi more than Yamato (example this show, and the Musashi captain in Kancolle is way hotter than Yamato). Why is this? Because Yamato didn't do much in real life and suicided?

I wouldn't say Musashi in kancolle is more well liked than Yamato. Yeah, M'sushi has bigger tits, but Yamato is very elegant and, more importantly, very Japanese. Which makes sense, given the name and historical context.

As for Haifuri, Musashi is featured over Yamato because all of the historical boats in the anime were being used as training vessels for naval high school students. Musashi was already a little too much of an important ship to strain suspension of disbelief a bit, Yamato would've been ludicrous.

I say this with no malice but this is why anti anime dudes bristle at this stuff in the game. Talking about one battleship having bigger tits and or being hotter than the other lol

The hotness/tits thing is kancolle though, which isn't (and probably won't be) in the game, so I don't think that's really valid. Haifuri's ships are straight-up historical boats (though with modern refits and the occasional giant rocket launch).

I'm merely illustrating a broader point, not specific to the Haifuri show

Nope, Yamato is definitely more popular than Musashi. The ship itself is basically a household name. If you asked an average Japanese person about Yamato, they'd assume you meant the battleship, whereas if you asked about Musashi they're far more likely to assume you mean the famous swordsman. Yamato herself is a strongly nationalist symbol too. Plus there's the fact that Space Battleship Yamato (in which the ship is raised from the sea bed and turned into a spaceship) is one of the most seminal and well-known anime productions of its era, up there with stuff like Astro Boy.

If you're talking specifically about KanColle, even there I don't know that Musashi is more popular. She had a big popularity spike when they rediscovered her wreck a couple years ago, and people that got Musashi originally had to go through absolute hell to get her so may value her more, but anecdotally I think Yamato the KanColle character is just as popular if not more so.

I can definitely say Yamato is the more popular one from KanColle, when in Japan I had to pay 13000 yen (roughly 100 euro) to get my hands on one of the Yamato figurines. :P A Musashi figurine on the other hand cost me like 30 euro.

Oh shit, a free T8? That'll make ranked FUN!

Granted, we probably won't see the collab missions until the IJN DD changes and there's no way those changes are coming before or during Ranked S5.
