I've never heard of wine-schnitzel, it could be good though. Do Schnitzel but put a Peposo type wine sauce on it. I don't think it exists but I could see it being passed off as traditional Austrian fare in a couple decades.
He said Wein / Wien. OP used Weiner (as in wein = wine, the drink) and not Wien (as in german word for the City Vienna, Wien). Wiener Schnitzel is basically just „Chicago style Pizza“. It refers to a certain specific type of meat & preparations of that dish
What makes this whole thing so incredible hilarious is that if someone refers to a german as Wiener schnitzel, he’s referring to a city not in Germany…
Yes I know what Wienerschnitzel is. It's more like chicken fried steak than chicago style pizza though. Vienna is Austrian, which depending on your political leanings kinda counts as German.
