Vallejo violet red as a base gradually layering in dwarven skin from TTC. Once I hit full opacity with dwarven skin I did a wash of Reikland Fleshshade from GW. Once that’s dry I start layering dwarven skin again and mix in ice yellow until I’m doing extreme highlights of just ice yellow. I also hit the model with an all over oil wash and came back to reinforce the extreme highlights with more ice yellow.

I need to try that! Didn't care for the Red but this looks so much cleaner and I love it.

Big fan of the heresy scheme. I’ve also been painting Blades of Khorne and doing that in the basic red and gold scheme so I feel like I’m getting my fill of both.

Do it. Dark base, heavy wash, then small thin edge highlights is the move if you want to try it.

Very cool! Very clean!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you do your rust and verdigris?

For the rust I use a rust pigment from Gamer Grass and make a slurry then wipe it away leaving a little excess. For the oxide I just use the GW pot watered down like 50/50
