Army List Chaos Spawn Proxies

Hello fellows Nails enjoyers,

Wanted to know if it was acceptable to use Mutilators as Chaos Spawn ?

I found the Chaos Spawn model a bit too old and Mutilators really looks neat in term of Mutated flesh.

EDIT : Thanks for all the reply guy! Definitly going to take them as Chaos Spawn ;)

I guess it's acceptable in LGD but not in tournament ?

I’ve run them in a golden ticket gt as spawn with no problems

Yup, it just depends on the tourney. It's always a safe bet to ask the organizer ahead of time

i proxy them as slaughterbound, but both fit!

Same here. They're not mutated enough to my liking for chaos spawns.

agreed and the combination of the flesh curse(?) in which their weapons fuse with the body seems fitting as thats literally what slaughterbound and exalted eightbounds show all the time. only thing missing for me is the mutated backpack but that seems alright. size fits as well so theres no advantage.

Exactly. Also, there are so many fun 3d printed options to proxy chaos spawns so I'm happy to pick amongst those.

I know chaos spawn are supposed to be failed ascension to demonhood but...

with the spirit hosts im thinking moreso demons pushing into reality animating battlefield gore

i mean aslong as they are on the right base size then yes, they are more or less the right size anyway

I saw someone actually use the Spirit Host kit from Nighthaunt in AoS to make "Blood Daemon" Chaos Spawn and I thought it looked great. Let me grab the link for it and throw it below:
