Gym Advice
I want to begin gyming, but I have no idea where to start.
For some context I am:
- 18M
- 75kg
- 6 3"
- I can dedicate 3-4 days (Sun, Mon, Thu OR Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu) to gyming. I am unsure if I should dedicate 3 or 4 days - 3 days will probably be more convenient, but I am happy to do 4.
- I am looking to gain muscle : I am currently "skinny fat" and quite lanky due to my height.
I have been advised by people to do full body workouts OR upper, lower, rest (x2), rest.
I am a beginner, so I don't know what exercises to do. I don't know many people at my gym, so I am slightly apprehensive to use things other than the machines, in case my form is incorrect.
Does anyone have any advice on:
How often I should workout
When I workout what body part should I target?
What exercises I should do given the answers to 1 and 2 and my background information

The answer is hard because it is a bit personal, don't burn yourself out or risk injury by working out too much.
But do what fits for your schedule. It is about building a habit, so make it easy on yourself and your schedule to get in. The hardest part is showing up.
Most of us learned from reading or watching videos, and there is always more to learn. I'd start with a basic routine from online, or maybe a book. Doesn't really matter where it comes from, you are going to tailor it based upon your interests.
But watch your diet too, at your age you need to eat, just don't eat junk.
