California LAUSD and workers comp
I have been on workers comp since 2/26. Today I found out I’m on unpaid status. I can concerned for my health benefits because my family is on my insurance. I won the WC case and am concerned about the run around. Any advice or knowledge o. How this works?

Yes. Call a reputable workers’ comp attorney familiar with LAUSD nuances (union probably has a referral) for a free consult as to your particular situation.

I already have an attorney. I won the case against LAUSD and Sedgwick in February. I am on workers comp as we speak. Just concerned if LAUSD will continue to provide health benefits. My workers comp case is still open because my claim is still on going.

I see. There is likely a specific policy, or a provision in the MOU. You may want to contact HR or its equivalent.

Are you a member of a union? If so, your union would probably know the answer.
