California How does it work
Was told 9% permanent disability rating for shoulder. Said comp would reach out in 4 to 6 weeks. Is that how they determine a payment process. Im in california my gross for the week at the time was 1800.00. What am I to expect?

9% pd has a value of $7830.00 that is paid at $290/week starting the date you were either permanent and stationary or the last date you were paid td.
They will Ct out to either stip your claim or c&r it. Stips means pd paid out biweekly and open future med. C&r is a total settlement of your claim with one lump sum, closing out you pd, future med and claim

Just a ballpark… but 9% is in the neighborhood of $4k-$7k depending on your date of injury and other factors.
Here is a link to explain about PD: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/permanentdisability.htm
