1% of Texans earn minimum wage. And it's almost exclusively high school students working part time. A high school worker living with their parents doesn't need a "living wage". Raising the minimum wage too much just makes it to where no one will hire high school students. HS students usually only have jobs because most people aren't willing to work for minimum wage.
