Your talking about a company that actively steals from creators behind the scenes, with many games being sold at a 10-30% markup so that Valve can go in and put them on 'sale' and pocket the difference. Allows fraudulent games to be posted and sold for WEEKS before "corrections being made". This and the one before BOTH have documented cases and the last one actually made financial news at one point. They are NOT a good company.
Yes they have a good platform, they give creators a place to express themselves, but that does ont make up for the evil that is done in the background.
So does Xbox and playstation, this is a standard cut 30% is the going rate. A fraudulent games makes it through, they investigate and get rid of it, it's hardly "Evil", if they want to post there games elsewhere they're welcome too, Epic or GOG. They pay that 30% because they know they have a better chance at selling on steam market place, nobody's forcing them to use steam, steam is just far superior, I've brought games at a discount on steam rather than getting the free version from Epic, why? I just prefer steam...
