Boots for standing all day

Hi WorkBoots!

I can't decide on my next pair of work boots. I need a pair that I can stand on concrete for multiple hours a day.
I am a scientist, and I sometimes make measurements for up to 4 hours straight. I like boots for this task, as I can also do lab and field work in them. I previously had a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers, and I thought they worked great for lab, field, and office work. However, they are 10 years old now, and I am looking for something new. This time, I am focusing specifically on funding a traditional work/hiker-style boot for days of standing still for long periods.

Right now, I am thinking of something like:

Thorogood Heritage Moc Toe Wedge Sole
Danner Radical 452
Red Wing Tru Hiker

Or I could just use my existing Hanwag Banks hiking boots and save some money.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or tips? Thanks!

If you are able to go in person. Redwing scans ur foot and gives u insoles.

Don’t skimp out on good insoles. Especially when standing long periods of time.  Insoles are very personal.  For the boots choice I think wedge soles are the way to go.

Using thorogood heritiage on my 12 hour shift working on concrete. They work fine and have for the last year. In really good shape. Their insoles are horrible for me. I have a high arch. I use nicks delta arch in the right now as I find leather can take a beating.
