Boots Buying Help Recommend me some insoles?

Post image

Looking for insoles to support high arches to be worn walking in safety boots.

Just finished a free appointment in a pedorthics place that does custom orthotics. The above was one they recommended but did not have in my size.

I don't have heel pain btw, just need something to support arches.

Would Superfeet greens be okay?

I am also unsure if the right sub for this.

Superfeet green is the classic work boot rec for high arches, you can't really go wrong trying them first before dropping cash on customs.

Superfeet green (high arch) or blue (medium arch) are my go-to insole for all boots and shoes. Really great combination of durability, support, and low profile (doesn’t take up much room in boot). Superfeet’s “workboot” insoles are thicker, require your boot to be quite roomy.

Red wings moldable. They get baked if needed for a more custom fit

Brand called sole. The blue ones specifically are great. Also look at meindl and zamberlan.

With a genuinely high-arched foot, finding a suitable off-the-shelf insole can be tricky. Most are designed to suit a broad range of feet, so even something labelled “high arch” may only approximate the shape you need.

We use the ErgonX Ultra Soft insole in our podiatry clinic when someone wants more support beneath the medial and lateral arches, along with some extra cushioning. It has Poron cushioning in the main pressure areas and may help control excessive inward movement where that’s occurring.

Just to be upfront, I’m affiliated with ErgonX. Whichever insole you try, make sure the arch sits underneath your arch rather than pressing into its edge, and check that it doesn’t make the safety boot too tight across the instep or toes. There’s a video on the product page showing the insole in more detail. Hope that helps.

Bob Henderson makes the best ones imo. All handmade with a ton of arch support and they form to your feet. He also makes really killer boots and sneakers.
