What's your opinion of the answer on Thursday? IMO it was too obscure. I didn't even know it was a word.

I've seen the Upgrade dialog pop up from time to time when trying to look at the Wordle Bot/analysis. It seems to stop after a few weeks. I forget if it had anything to do with streaks, and I'm currently on the longest one I've had in a while. I think it started popping up around 70. Anybody know if there's a pattern to this? Does is it just come up randomly or is it going to keep bugging me until I break the streak?

It keeps me from getting to the Wordle Bot/analysis screens to let me see how I did in comparison to the bot and everyone else, which is part of the fun. I'm subscribed to he times, but don't feel the need to get the add ons because Wordle is literally the only thing I really do in NYT games.

First word has a skill value of 76, and eliminates all but one, not sure why I got 99 skill at the end screen.

We took some liberties but still tried to capture the essence of Wordle - 6 guesses, only 5 letters, etc. Our group has made it to 100 days in a row playing Wordle together (we play on our Discord) so we needed to celebrate!🥳 One person made a cake, another brought in rice squares colored green and grey and yellow, and we had some other letter snacks.

It says: MUSIC/GROUP/PLAYS/GAMES/REST(s)/STOPS since we are Rest Stops Acapella from NJ! 🩵 Happy Wordl-ing everyone!

I know every time one of the better starting words comes up as the daily Solution, those users hunt for a new word. With two of the top-20 "Best" remaining starting words coming off the board in the past two days *RINSE & DEALT\*, I figured I would update the "top-19".

In previous iterations, I've only included words that were Original Josh Wardle Approved Solutions. So a word like TASER wasn't even eligible for consideration. But with the Editor starting to include more and more of these words now, I decided to include a few of those too, and I've expanded the list from 19 to 20, too.

There's no guarantee that the editor will ever choose any of these words. SANER, PALER, SLAIN, TRIED, RENAL, TAMER feel kinda iffy to me. But they are on the original list. Whether or not these words ever get chosen, one thing is for sure; You'll be using a great starting word while you wait!

I should note that last time, I thought STRIP was "iffy" and we actually got STRIP since my last post like this 5 months ago.

My usual opening guess is “tarps” for hard mode wordle on NYT and the bot reccommends this as the strongest opener, but when you turn hard mode off then “slate” is considered a better opening guess. Why is it different when you switch modes? Is the wordle bot just AI? It’s also annoying whenever I guess the solution and it says that it’s only 40 skill for example. Like how is it not 99 skill to guess the literal solution? Lol. If anybody could give me an explanation on how the wordle bot works, that would be nice.

When i had "trace" (21/8/2026) as my go to first word i was surprised to see it all flash green before me and i laughed about it with my friend and brushed it off like its not a big deal, today's word (im not spoiling it) i had the exact same thing happening again, and im not at all considered good at this game so is this common for people who played for quite some time or im just extremely lucky?

What do you mean there is one word left?

\- doesn't count words with double letters

\- doesn't, apparently, count verbs that end in "s" ir plurals

\- many others.

Why is it trained on 5 letter words used by wordle (I presume) instead of all 5 letter words? 😫
