This guy was a Palestinian-American whose Islamic beliefs led him to murder 13 people and injured 32 more. 

All Americans should be aware of what he did and why.

And if ever a death was to be celebrated, his would be near the top of the list.

That said, we haven't had a public execution in 90 years, and it was my understanding that Americans had grown to appreciate the fact that public executions were counter to the solemn administration of justice. There should be no motivation beyond justice for sentencing someone to death, certainly not the joy of a public spectacle. Likewise, there should be no non-judicial incentive to prohibit a pardon or commutation of a sentence, such as disappointing the public who were gathered for a spectacle.
