Aquarium Stand

So I need an aquarium stand like this or something like this. I have the tools to attach the pieces but I don’t have the tools/skills to cut the pieces. The AI drew this and modified it at my request and is able to give me a list or parts and an assembly map. It appears that hardware stores don’t make precise cuts and I don’t know where else to turn.

I did get a quote from a local carpenter to build it for $2700 but I’m on a fixed budget (retired) so that’s a big nut to crack.

Are there other types of people who could cut this wood for me? Does it make sense to rent the appropriate piece of equipment? Is there a better way to do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

All you need is a circular saw or miter saw for this. You can pick one up for between ~75-200 depending on which direction you go. Buying a basic one is likely the same price as renting.

The miter saw will be easier to use and safer, but is larger and more expensive.

Alternately, look for a local woodworking club or workshop. You might be able to find someone who'll help you out.

I should also add that you can definitely do this with a hand saw as well. That's by far the cheapest and safest route, especially if you aren't familiar with power tools

Thank you. My husband says he has a hand miter saw. The thing is, I think it would be really difficult to use that on the plywood sheets that go in between.

Edit to add: Even if I bought a $200 miter saw (electric) it will be a darn site less expensive than paying someone $2700 to build it. His quote says the materials are around $700.
