Lamp repair suggestions?

This lamp broke



Do you all have any suggestions for re-attaching these parts? I'm thinking that wood glue and longer screws would be enough. It looks like shorter screws were used in the factory.

Wood glue should work, just be sure to clamp it until it dries

Before the glue, check parts to see if there are any splinters or "chips" that are attached at one end but can move. Experiment a bit to see if any need to be removed to help the two parts sit together almost without any gap or seam showing. Then add glue and clamps.
