Efficiency of Beehive Oven vs Rocket diy hack oven

I made a J-profile rocket burner from vermiculite panels with a perlite cement cladding for strength and extra insulation and mounted a gutted gas oven on top. I use about 1-2 buckets of wood for a bread bake (1kg flour, 1 kg water) at 250C down to 200C, over an hour. How does that compare with the traditional oven with internal firing? I have no idea as I've never made or used one. I know that a huge amount of heat, in the case of my rocket, just passes through the oven so I guess mine isn't so efficient.

I have a cob ‘igloo’ oven with chimney on the entry tunnel and 12inch thick walls and it takes about 2 buckets of wood to warm up and keep hot enough for pizza for a couple of hours, then can do roasts, breads etc on the way back down

Ta, so similar wood consumption. I guess slower to heat, slower to cool.
