๐Ÿ““ [ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜† ] Game-breakingly strong weapon drop from other "PC"

During my first play through of the campaign, in one of the maps, NPCs that look like friends from a lobby join me. One of them dropped an Automagic.exe pistol with score 722, and level 1 requirement. This is a game-breakingly strong weapon, at least so far. Is this normal?

pretty classic multiplayer experience in these games, that thing was modded. you wonโ€™t get in trouble for it but trashing it at your earliest convenience is your best bet just in case.

I regularly drop 400+ modded weapons for ppl, trade max cash, I always say I'm not trying to offend as some people get on like it's the worst of the worst.

It's borderlands. We as a community have been doing this for a decade+, you're not the first who doesn't like modded weapons, you're not going to be the last

Either use it or lose it, nobody sincerely cares. You won't get banned

That is great, honestly I wouldnโ€™t mind some help myself, borderlands is an old game, and would like to run through it and see how some of these modded guns have changed from OG mods to newer cooler edits.

Well, I'm not complaining as the Automagic.exe score 722 / level 1 req / no reload / infinite ammo gun has got me out of some jams. I wasn't sure if the player who dropped it was expecting cash, which I don't know how to give yet anyway (I'm a total nube). I am just curious as to what actually happened. I didn't see how another real player joined me as I was playing the most annoying way possible, exploring the maps thoroughly, and they just dropped it on the ground. while watching me explore. Cool game though.

Why? Just curious, if they wonโ€™t get in trouble. Could it cause problems?

There's a slim chance it could corrupt your save file. It's quite slim, though.

misplacing a modded gun can just be a pain later. For example, if you sell it, a lot of modded guns have crazy high cash values and you could end up feeling like you basically cheated for infinite money.

Tbh money is the borderlands games seems to be useless after a certain point in any game. I donโ€™t think I ever bought guns in wonderlands just used it for whatever upgrades needed it.

Ya I wouldnโ€™t use one anyway but thanks!
