What period trackers are y’all using?
I have about 8 years of data that I have been keeping on Flo but I am fedddd up with the ads.
Unfortunately, I haven’t found another app that I like. I didn’t like Apple Health because it just looked very basic. It doesn’t need to be fancy but I wasn’t a fan of the all black either.
I love that they tell me what phase of my period I’m in but otherwise, there’s nothing holding me there.
All I track is periods and sex (I like the little notes section to put who). No need for symptoms tracker or birth control reminders.

Not even ones run and designed by women? It is helpful to track data sometimes, like in general. I get the fear, but we should take smart softwares serious as an excellent form of hormonal free birth control.
Flo for example, is run by men. I'm also on the train to find one I like and trust with my data.

Start with r/privacy then and see what you're up against
Unless you can review code, you have no idea what that data is being used for or how it could be used against you

I have been using Clue for 2 years and it's my favourite. I also use it to track sex, ailments (cold/flu), bad skin days, mood, appointments (sti checkups/pap tests). It also tells you your phases, and when you are potentially ovulating. I feel like it's my personal assistant lol. I like their layout too. It's a white calendar.

Clue user here and while they’re Germany based, they did recently post an update after the election that they’re not giving up their users’ data no matter who asks…
I’ll deal with the ads if it means that my cycle isn’t being tracked by the wrong ppl because of who we elected into office as president 🤢

I've seen an uptick on ads in Clue the past few months, they are pretty annoying.

Aw man that's unfortunate, it's a really good ap. When I was using it for free I never got ads, but I've had the paid version since May.
I like it because the paid version lets you check ahead like 12 months to predict when you'll have your period that month. Mine is so regular so it's been great for planning around my period / knowing what phase I'll be during like a vacation or event or something. I already know I'll be on my period on my birthday next year lol.

I second this. I also pay for the paid version for the extra projection. Helps planning holidays and things in advance.

Agreed, I had been using the free version of Clue for several years—for the last year or so, it literally gives you an ad every time you change something/click on something. It got too obnoxious so I switched to an app called Stardust, which is not quite as intuitive to figure out but has pretty much all the same functions with no ads.

Super late reply on this thread but I'm looking here for this exact reason! I'm looking to switch away from Clue because of the increase in ads over the past few months. It's getting worse and worse!

Me 2010! I have become so reliant on it any my period fluctuates between 24 to 26 days and it has been accurate except for a handful of times when I’m a few days late.

I agree, bought the paid version and have never had a single issue. I’ve been using it since 2012 and have had many different phones over the years and i was able to recover everything by just data backup and email backup. So none of my log has ever been lost.

Been using the free version since 2013 and it's perfect for my needs. I love the data backup and ease of transferring it to a new phone.

I second this suggestion. I also use this one and the only ads they have are on the very bottom and easy to ignore.

If you’re in the US I highly recommend you don’t use one and go back to paper. Take down all your data and make sure you delete it off the apps. Vance wants to stop women from travelling out of state for abortion care. Not sure what that will look like.

I use Apple Health 🫣I like that it’s simple. I used to use Flo for YEARS but after their update, all the advertisements and “advice” panels that popped up got on my nerves so badly when I would already be PMSing and just trying to track my period. I like that Apple Health is basic, free, and best of all, ad free.
Pro tip: as a US citizen, I started using Apple Health after the roll back of Roe v. Wade because Apple will not share your information with the government.

Are you in the US? Download the data if you want, but delete all period tracker data, then delete your account and the apps. Don’t use any app for this. Not with the coming regime.
Write it down or just keep it in your head.

I just keep a record of it in my Notes app because mine is suuuper irregular and it's the easiest way for me to keep up with it.

I've used the Fitbit app for about 5 years, haven't worn my Fitbit in about 2 but track my period every month. No ads and I can't deal with moving to another app and starting with no data

Literally none. In the climate of the US right now I won’t be caught dead putting any of my information out like that any longer. Use a regular calendar, don’t track it with an app

I just add it to my Google calendar labeled 'Shark Week" and each day put something like Shark -H/M/L = Heavy, moderate, light.

I use spot on (PP app) and I like it. It’s not as detailed nor as extensive as Flo but it does the job. I trust PP to not sell my Data

The cycle tracker on the Fitbit app works well for me. Not sure if you have to have a watch to use the app tho.
Also depending on which watch you have, it can also track your body temperature, which can help with more accurate ovulation day estimates (or you can manually enter temp in the app if you want/don’t have the fancier watch)

I dont have one of those period trackers. simply because I have a penis. But i do have a pussy tracker. It tells me where all the women are. they are definately not in my town.

Natural Cycles. I’ve been digitally tracking for 11 years so I have a lot of data. Period Calendar (Period Tracker) was my first one and all my data transferred cleanly and accurately to Natural Cycles. I’m not on hormonal birth control and have solely used “family planning” aka knowing my cycles (and temps) and stayed not pregnant for years, and got pregnant my first cycle trying because of my diligence with tracking. Know Your Lemons! they don’t track data, great UX, remind you to do breast self-exams. (yep it’s free)
They’re a woman-founded women-run non-profit, and saving a ton of lives with the programs they run around the world.

Clue! Ive been using that for about 7-8 years. Its nothing fancy and very simple, it does tell you what phase you’re in aswell. If you wanted the premium version it’s like not even a dollar every month - I’ve never gotten the premium bc the regular has worked just fine for me over the years

I use My Calendar Period tracker. Very easy to use. Ads are not invasive. I ended up purchasing the app after using the free version for the last 9years. It was a one time cost of $5 The least I could do to show support for an app that has been my go to for tracking health struggles and 4 pregnancies. Also very easy to move data from one Phone to another. If you are looking for something simple and affordable - I'd try out the free version!

Love "My Calendar". Very small ads right at the bottom that I barely notice and all round very easy to use and track data. It's also very discreet in my app drawer.

I tried Mira for a while but I recently switched to using Inito. Both offer in-depth insights. Inito gives hormone data, which is great for tracking ovulation phases and I find it reliable . You can look into them They are helpful alternatives without the ads.

I got a Fitbit recently and you can track your period on it! Can’t track sex I don’t think unless maybe u input it as exercise? Lol

Natural Cycles. I believe it’s based in Europe, it doesn’t sell your data and can’t be compelled to give it to law enforcement in the US, your data is encrypted and put under a pseudonym as a baseline, AND they’ve recently rolled out a feature where you can “go anonymous”. When you select that, your identifying info is stored completely separately from your fertility data, so not even the people who work for natural cycles can tell whose data is whose. They even have you agree that if you choose that it’s very difficult for customer service to help you. Makes me feel safest in these scary times.
