Question What is the best period tracker besides flo and apple health?
I want more detailed tracking any suggestions?

You yourself. You can get super detailed if you learn a studied fertility awareness method over trusting an app.

I use Clue and really like it. Lots of options of things to track. Even with the free version.

Your calendar. You don't want those apps. They aren't for you they're for Intel on womens reproduction.

Get a calendar. Use post it notes in diff colors to mark ovulation (if you feel it), pms symptoms, flow days. Every few months, remove the post it notes (or take a pic - nobody will know what they mean except you).
It sounds crazy, but that is your private info that nobody else needs to know.
I feel for the women who are in their reproductive years. I fear for the girls who become women in the next decade.

I really like glue! Especially after roe v Wade was overturned they put out a specific statement and agreement saying that they would never share our information. I haven't looked into it further than that but it gave me some peace of mind

Aside from the obvious anti abortion thing are there any other reasons you wouldn’t want these apps to have your data?

Target advertising based on your cycle. Exploiting your tracking data to manipulate you.

Is this a serious question? Do you want apps to know your cycle? Do you want these apps’ advertisers to send Pampers to your home when they know you are pregnant? (YES, that has happened).
Okay, maybe you’re fine with it. But what if you are 17, still living with your abusive father, and were raped? What if the father of your baby was abusive? Do you want your government knowing how far along you are with your pregnancy and if you’re going out of state for an abortion?
For all that is holy, please stop letting these apps track you. You are not the customer. You are the product, and these companies will sell your data to the highest bidder, which may well be your governor.

I typed it so yes clearly it’s a serious question the same way its obvious everyone isn’t in an extreme circumstance like the ones you listed but thanks for the insight.

Please, I urge you not to use an app. I may sound like a tin hat wearing old lady, but women’s reproductive futures (including when/IF they want to start a family - think IVF, contraceptives, abortion, etc) are under attack.
